  1. Engine is in and I started the chassi plumbing. Front suspension is also sorted. Rear axle seems to be done and driveshaft in CF Is in place. Will pause this for a while so i can make a Porsche 911 Turbo for my friend that hav his 40 birthday in april.
  2. Beautifull build!
  3. Epic progress mate! Looks killer!
  4. Cool build!
  5. I have the M5 at work and i am happy with it. Not been using it enough to give any tips but its great for making parts and its big so i can make chassis with no problem. Would like to practice more and try other resins but i can only have water washable on work due to regulations on ventilation and such. And I would definitly use Chitubox instead of the oem splitter. Give me a shout when you have it and i gan give my settings to you.
  6. Thanks Donato! It never ment to be but i am taking my time not rushing it since this build have been on going for already at least some 20 years! Also why most original kit parts gone missing when i was a teenager?!
  7. Thanks Steve! I could not agree more, this engine setup looks meaty for an! Thanks again mate! Thanks Jeff! First time taking this sort of time and effort on making many parts of the build.
  8. Got some work done on my LS Twin Turbo Impala SS. Plumbing is mostly done on my engine, Trunk got a new spoiler and the key is in the egnition. Also the rear axle found its way in to the chassi.
  9. I have made alot of progress over the last week. But not that much that is worth showing. The Chassi has gotten its rear end and steering installed. And plumbing is started as of now. The Trunk lid got a new spoiler, more of what you find on a Camaro SS of similar age, also new mirrors has been installed to finish of the '96 look. Mirors came from my PB, think they are from a Aoshima GT-R. Steering wheel and column got some work, key is in the egnition with a SS key tag with the same collor as many other details in the car. The PE details are MR Model hood pin kit that got repurposed since i could not find my keys And last the engine with most of the plumbing done, Missing is external oiling, Fuel delivery and return and of course cooling and such. Turbo has Oil feed lines and drain to the oilpan, as well as vacum hose to the Waste gate. Also the injectors are wired.. my most plumped engine so far! Comments are most welcome! ?
  10. Epic mate! Working on the trunk hinge on my impala but I have a problem that the hinge does not lift out but it goes inward to the glass and makes it to stick.
  11. Such a great build my friend! Looks epic and i love the details you put in, the claps on the exhaust is one of those!
  12. On Grab CAD there you can find allot of 1:1 models that can be downloaded an modifyed to work in 1:24 scale. Check it out. There is several complete cars that can be modifyed for print. And if you do so, please ad them up there again! Popular models | 3D CAD Model Collection | GrabCAD Community Library
  13. Made a start at wire the engine. The braided lines are ok, a tad small I guess but next size up is too large. Need to order new stuff later. Have a really hard time getting the normal spark plug wire to stick ano Mather what CA I use. Anny ideas? I also made a serpentine belt out of tape and changed the position on the alternator. I have also detailed some more in the interior, made a cf panel from the C5R decal sheet I have, took three different decals but looks good now. comments and thoughts are appreciated ?
  14. I have made allot of progress over the last day or so, most of the engine parts are painted and assembled. The rear end with the shocks are positioned, glued and painted and waiting to be installed. and I just love this engine!! Sorry for the bad quality pictures. Celphone pix that are cropped.
  15. Thanks! Hehe yes we all have our special projects that hit our tones. ? thanks again! Got some more done tonight, put the carpet in, wet tissue that I glued down, and painted it with NATO black. and did some more detail painting and prepping. feel free to comment or come with suggestions :-)
  16. Some more painting being done. love my valve covers!
  17. Splashed some paint on some of the assembled parts.
  18. Made some progress on the cage. Fits nice to the roof and window frames I think. Lower bars are bent I know.. but might do some more bracing there. Time will tell.
  19. Haha I can agree with you! If it was way thinner it might have suited a rally car though! Thanks dude! I love it to, I have made it as I want it ? Hurst shifter actually, but guess they are very similar, I had the B&M in my Chevelle back when in a custom made CF console, integrated indicator and leather both. A darn nice shifter i must say, for beeing automatic I love a T56 myself but thats not the best in a drag car.
  20. A small step bet felt good. Glued the front braces in and started mocking with all stuff in so I could see if I need more supports.
  21. No its from Grab cad in 1:1. But i have optimized it for printing. Do you want the files?
  22. Made this the other day. Body sits okay over the chassi.
  23. Beautifull build!
  24. Thanks! Need to take some better photos soon ? when the light outside comes back.
