  1. So I decided to try to enter this to the CBR, so i would suspect that this will look like a X racer gone to the street whith normal racer "make it work" instead of "make it look nice" metality. Not sure on color or decals or any thing yet.. Not sure what power plant I will be running. LS is to common and i have a hard time seeing a "stock" LS3(what i have in the PB) in there ?. And i do not fancy an other turbo build since i allways go over board! So I might go to a nascar small block, might have better gas mileage than the CBB in the pic above. We will see one problem being that I am not that found of the over sized monogram engines that come in the kit (big block sized small block). I had to go forward and the way i figured i could was to glued the cage work in and start sand the chassi to fit height wise. I took out roghly 2-3mm in the torpedo area to go underneath the original body bracing and sanded away some of th frame. The rear end will need to come forward a little bit to look good se pictures below. I have also started to sand out the boddy thicknes in the wheel areas to make room for the tires. went bar on right rear so i might give it a flare instead And yes I took black and white pictures since the color combination right now is awful! Blue body and yellow chassi! Feel free to comment or pinch in on Ideas! I apriciate everything ? Monogram 1/24 Chevy Small Block Big Block Fitted chassi Kit position on rear end. If you would build a stock car replica you would probably be fine since the original cars ran a 115” chassi and not a 112” as stock. (fronts would come forward more acorind to pictures for stock car) Re positioning:
  2. So i won’t make the Silverado rest this year either. But I got inspired by an other contender to dig out my third gen Chevelle and try to build it for the CBR! So here goes. It’s a 1975 Pepsi laguna with a ‘80s monogram nascar chassi that need surprisingly little mods to fit, in my world at least. Some sanding and the rear end needs to move if you would build a stock car replica you would probably be fine since the original cars ran a 115” chassi and not a 112” as stock. Not sure what power plant I will be running. LS is to common ? so I might go nascar small block, might have better gas mileage than the big block I intended to run to replicate the period correct engine. We will see.. I am not that found of the over sized monogram engines but they do look mighty! and yes I took black and white pictures since the color combination right now is awful! Blue body and yellow chassi! rear axle compensated for the wheelbase Wheelbase as it intends to build.
  3. Beautifull work there! Looks great!
  4. Sweet! I am following!
  5. Nice work! In the wrong forum though. I ask an admin to move it to under glass trucks an suvs ?
  6. C5R engine definitely! I have it in last years truck, or the intake on an LS at least. Go for it!
  8. Sweet build! Looks sharp and just like the 1:1!
  9. Great progress! How od about that hood that does not seem to fit. Is it made for some other engine configuration?
  10. So i where in my cabin for the Easter and a thought got stuck in my mind. The grand that I started as an off-road project years ago would need an other engine.. a viper engine and what if I could make a viper IRS rear end work.. and of for sure I need a 4x4… pulled it out of storage and started messing about.. but I settled on Skyline GTR rear axle and front differential since they where way better fit so far.. engine fits ok. And yes this one will be one low heep. And think of it more like a viper with Jeep body than the other way around.. maybe I should enter this to the CBR? Great tourer! ? I see this as a plausible concept Jeep would made back in maybe 1995? Wheels are five spook “iroc” from Pegasus which would resemble similar Jeep wheels of the time. Don’t be shy, please comment, ideas are welcome!
  11. Nice to see the kit out! So sad they went that direction with the chassi! I can’t stand that type chassi. I don’t mind the no engine but man! One piece chassi is just so boring to me.
  12. Looks good mate! Great chassi work!
  13. Looks really nice! Good work!
  14. Gott me this cool racer that I have been sitting a lot in! We had the chassi back in 2005 as a simulator at races for the STCC. here it is couple of years ago when it was sold: https://bilwebauctions.se/aprilauktion-1-2022/jordan-peugeot-197-formel-1-bil-50812 We where traveling with the Junior Touring car Championship back in Gymnasium, high school? Our school teamed up with a no alcohol movement and traveled the country with a team of students both for promoting the school as well as the movement. Can’t say I was to much into the racing back then but liked the events, and we did not have to much time to watch the racing since our job was promotion.
  15. Turning out great!!
  16. Nicke work! It’s a cool car !
