  1. Came out great as I mentioned in the other thread! Great work m8!
  2. Congratulations to every one that made it in time with their build! For all others well fought! For the issue discussed above, its sad but was not made by intent by any one. And I too belive it's our own responsibillity to post our finished builds in the thread, sure a reminder would have been nice, but no one remembers everything not even our best OP. And Thanks again @disconovaman for an other great CBR and thanks every one else helping out and best of luck with Next years CBR.
  3. @Dragonhawk1066 @Dragonhawk1066 Here you have an apologie from our host. Its the same for him with having other things in life as you mentioned, that he did not think of the issue until it was to late.
  4. Thanks allot fellas!! Such kind words you all give my humble project! Thanks Steve! Yes I really fell for that setup and it sure ass gave the right look considering that engine! thanks again! On the dust and static, I put a small amount of good automotive car shampoo with wax in it on a microfiber cloth and washed the build o so lightly, just to try to remove the dust and it worked like a sharm!!
  5. Epic 1/16 build! I have the revell truck that i want to build have been gathering parts for years. That kit seems nice and with your mods even better! Glad there are 3d printers today because there is not much parts for 1/16 available.
  6. Managed to finish the last details and shoot some pictures of the CBR LSX454SS Found under glass
  7. Thanks again m8! Mostly polish, polish and polish again! and where i messed up i used Tamiya TS14 in a shot glas and brushed on the damaged area, worked good actualy as seen.
  8. Here is a pic of my finished 3d printed lights=) This is for this years CBR.
  9. Thanks man!! I apriciate it!! Look at the finished pictures found above Also feel free to vote in the CBR
  10. Here is the Finished Thread! Please vote as well in the CBR thread if you like it!
  11. This was my second entry for this Years CBR Year Of birth my start number was #1 this year and i decided to build a 1987 C1500 LSX 454SS. I am born in October of 1987 so the new C1500 had hit the markets. And this is a LSX converted truck. Engine is a mix of C5 corvette LS engines from the PB with a C5R intake plenum, 3D printed valve covers and new headers out of solder. It also runs a dry sup oil system instead of the AC pump. The oil system is plumbed to the catch tank on the fire wall ant fuel and power cables run under the truck. This is my first build where i have plumbed more than the ignition. The transmission is converted from transaxle to a “built” automatic from a Silverado "made to handle a 1000hp" Due to the intake plenums the engine had to be mounted a bit further forward than on a normal truck that also helped with clerance for the transmission that was considirable larger than the original one. Due to the forward position a slim radiator had to be fit and the one from the C5R could be customized to fit. Other parts in the engine bay are various PB finds. A long distance fuel cell was installed far back due to weight balance, also the battery have been moved further back and where the fuel cell used to be to remove weight from up front. A new custom exhaust with my own design on Magna Flow mufflers was made out of bras tube and styrene rod. Exterior wise it’s stock except from the thinned out grill and the replaced headlights, which i designed for this project, they are available on Cults. I messed up the paint but seem to made it work since it looks good. The decals was ruined by my mistake when trying to blend them with solvent. I printed new ones from my original scan but my printer cant print white so they where useless ? In the interior a road atlas from 1987 with coffe stains can be seen. The plates are US size Personal Swedish plates, here we normaly have three letters and then three numbers, where i have AMI 987. We need to have both front and back. DISCLAIMER: Some changes have been made after the CBR, as mirrors and plumbing of the oil canister. Original finish pictures can be seen in the CBR Finished thread. Pleas visit that thread as well and if you like, vote for your favourite build ? Interior:
  12. I washed the truck lightly with a good car wash with wax and a microfiber cloth and just enough water to get the body a bit damp and that seems to be helping with the dust problem. Time will tell. I did finish it on my lunch brake to day. Better photos under glass later today I hope.
  13. Thank you Sergey! It’s almost done now, are making some final adjustments to it now but will be under glass by the end of the week ?
  14. Thanks m8! Only thing I pitty is the decals that I actually would like to have there on the bed sides and tail gate. Most to complete the black and red with silver theme?
  15. Thanks Steve! I like that big intake as well under this hood, much better than the Silverado. Will need to try that one as well then, and please inform me when you get one if it worked! Thanks again sir! The best to you! Thanks allot for the kind words! Yes it turned out good for a Frankenstein;-)
  16. So the Engine is plumped as intended and the intakes are glued permanently now. Need to fix the mirrors and adjust the taillights. Made a hood prop.
  17. That era ford step side, or what they call it, type bed is so much better looking than the Chevy!
  18. Some details have been worked out on the race truck and it’s looking better then what it did in the rush on race night. sad thing though, my decals did not work, I can’t print white so they can’t be seen. So if any one have a set of 454 decals to do or I would appreciate it! Don’t know if it’s possible to get hold of rics models decals due to the tragic events of his wife/girlfriend. btw! How do I get the model to stop being so static and pulling dust to it?
  19. Sweet! Really good looking build there!
  20. Sweet build! Will be following along!
  21. Thanks m8! Appreciate it and your comments and tips!
  22. Super nice!
