  1. Good Luck at the Roadster Show, I'm guessing it will win an award for sure. Steve A.
  2. You might try checking out Burbank House of Hobbies website, they have several different makers of pinstriping tape shown. https://houseofhobbies.com/search?q=tape I've bought from them several times, and they have always been good at getting orders out quickly, and I've never had a problem. Steve A.
  3. I saw a couple of videos from the show on Youtube. They covered the show really well. This was one of the longest ones at about 50 minutes. Steve A.
  4. That turned out really nice. Steve A.
  5. I have that resin transkit somewhere in my stash. I was painting it & had the body on one of my paint stands and it pushed the body sides at the door out some. I'm hoping that when I do find it again, that I can warm it up and push the sides back in. Your build turned out really nice. Steve A.
  6. This project is coming along really nicely, and if you think this one is cool, wait till you see some of the other projects he has planned. Steve A.
  7. Glad to see the decals made it there okay. Can't wait to see how the finished model comes out. Steve A.
  8. Steven, I got to wondering if maybe the article you were looking for could have been in another magazine. I went looking to see if I could find info about the old Car Modeler magazine that Kalmbach bought out. I did find an image of the Nov 1991 issue that shows an article titled " '32 Chevy Roadster How To". Not sure what the article is about. Steve A.

  11. Hey Steven, I did a search in the first CD of SAE that covers the first 35 years from 1979-2013, and did a search using "Packard" "Boattail" and "1932 Chevy". There were a few mentions of Packards in the Collectors Corner (which was for 1/43rd scale). There was one article when I did the 1932 Chevy search that was titled "Shark Bite" about combining a 1932 Chevy and an early 60s Corvette. It was a light and darker blue color. Attached is a pic of the car from the article. Not sure if this was the model you were thinking of. The second CD covers the years from 2014-2018. and I couldn't find an article like you were describing in any of the issues.
  12. I have both the CDs that they did of the SA issues. What article were you looking for? I can find it and save it as a PDF and email it to you. Steve A.
  13. Hey Rich, If you happen to make it to the show, my friend Curt Raitz & I will have a table in the swap meet area, so stop by and say Hi. Curt will be selling his hand laced wire wheels & some kits, and I will be selling some of my custom decals, some 3D stuff and possibly some kits. Hope you will be able to make it to the show. Steve A.
  14. The Desert Scale Classic Show is on Saturday April 13th. It is a fun show. I'm in Northern AZ, so I don't know about the hobby shops in that area. Steve A.

Brock, If you are just needing the green decals shown in your pics, I have them if you still need them. If you want to PM me your address I can mail them off to you. Steve A
  16. If you saw John's post awhile back of the Radial Motorcycle build he did with Curt Raitz, I 3D printed the radial engines & some small parts for them, and John did a great job with those parts. You can see details of both their bikes here: Plus, John has used a couple of 3D printed bodies on some of his builds. I don't think it makes much of a difference to John if he is working in plastic or resin. Steve A.
  17. No, I purchase a file of a 1/10th scale Chevy LS3 and a 4L60 automatic transmission for John, and scaled them to the sizes he needed and resin printed them. I have an Anycubic Photon Mono X6Ks printer. Steve A.
  18. Greg has a Facebook group called Holy Grail Resin Model Parts that is is active with pretty much every day. If you have FB you might have try joining the group and post a message. I know he has been building a pretty good size shop at his house, so he has been busy with that. I think I had an old email address for him, but you might get a faster response through his FB group.
  19. I did some research on the car for John to figure out some details for the engine and decals, and the body was done by Luc Deley of Marcel's, but the body isn't steel, it was made out of aluminum. There are quite a few pics of the car online where it was displayed at like SEMA in raw aluminum. Steve A.
  20. There is a guy that posts on Facebook that I've seen has some 3D printed Funny Car bodies, and they can be printed at different scales. His page on Facebook is Frankie's Hobby & Horror Shoppe, and he also has a website at: https://frankies-hobby-horror-shoppe.square.site/s/shop . I don't know what bodies he actually has, but I did see a recent post with a Chevy S10 Pro Stock or Pro Mod, and a 70s Mustang. My friend John Teresi recently had a custom car body done in 1/25th & 1/16th scale, and was really happy with how they turned out. He has bought several bodies from him and says the quality is really nice. You might try checking him out to see what he has. The only other company I know of doing 1/16th scale resin bodies is Competition Resins, but they don't list a lot of bodies. https://ecsvr.com/cpr/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=5&cat=resin+bodies+1%2F16 Steve A.
  21. I have that kit also, but haven't started it yet myself. Looks like you are off to a nice start. I also bought the 3D files to print one too, I want to see about doing one at 1/25th scale. Steve A.
  22. Brandon, I sent you a message about the decals, and yes they are still available. Steve A.
  23. Thanks for the responses. I happen to come across one of the current owners Facebook page and sent him a message to see if he could help me out. When I messaged him he was going to the Nitro Revival Show at Irwindale Speedway and then was going to to another show at Pomona, and said when he was back home in AZ would get in touch with me. Steve A.
  24. Hello, Would anyone happen to have a good sharp picture of the back area of the Flamin Frank Pedregon Fiat Coupe tribute build that his sons built? I was asked by a friend to see about making up some 1/12th scale decals, and I've found some good pics online showing the lettering on the nose and roof of the car, but the only pics I can find of the back of it aren't clear enough to make out all of the letting. Attached is some of the pics I've found and some of the lettering I've been able to figure out so far. If anyone happens to have a good pic they can share, or any guesses to the rest of the lettering, that would great. Also, on a few of the pics there is a decal on the lower cowl area that I can tell says "Speedsports" on it, but I haven't been able to find a good example of that decal. Has anyone every seen one of these decals before? Thanks for any help with this. Steve A.
  25. SK Decals did several different decal sheets for that model, and you can find some on the Hiroboy website, and might find some on eBay. You might also check out Patto's decals to see if they offer any. Their website can sometimes be a little hard to search through, but they do a lot of decals for race cars.
