  1. Yesterday at the swap meet I bought a 1964 El Camino, it contained most of the parts but not the Westcraft boat. Since I have a 64 Chevy wagon in need of a few nicer parts I bought this. Inside also was this build that is nicely started but odd. Everything fits perfect, even the screw bottom holes line up perfect. Someone spent alot of time on it,, the least I can do is try to figure out what the builder was going for and finish it. I found a shortened windshield in the box so I guess it was topless. Cant explain or figure out the rear wheel wells tho'..
  2. I went to Dupage swap meets today and it was a pretty good turn out. Okey Spaulding from Johan had a table and was selling some stuff, Tom Carter from Spotlight hobby had alot of good offerings and prices , and the guys from Motor city resin had great stuff as usual, add them to all the local vendors and it was an awesome day. What I picked up at the swap is in the ''General'' heading under ''What did you get today'' ..
  3. Went to Dupage swaps and picked up all builders, some for parts but most for rebuild the 59 chevy is a slush cast resin 4 door, I got it really cheap .

  7. Thanks Dave, its about half way done
  8. You should find everything you need easily. The NNL is one fee, the ToyShow is another fee
  9. Chassis is done. AND for the first time in my painting anything black , I dont have to sand any blems and reshoot. Its painted, cured, shot 3 coats of clear and thats upto this point. While this dries until I have to polish I have to get the P/E door handles and window crank handles and other goodies installed for interior.
  10. Ive hunted some kits for awhile , but this never built 63 Pontiac was the most elusive one for me. Its mint except the price change on the box.
  11. Looks super Joel. tires , wheels and color work together well..
  12. All the good hobby shops around me closed, Trost on 63rd in the city, Stantons in the city, Venture hobby and, Als hobby in the burbs , whats left is a few miles from me in the next town , not a bad place, has more paint than any hobby shop Ive been in , 70% of their inventory is trains , so to get alot of what I buy I go to shows or buy on ebay,or trade with others. There are other hobby shops in the area but the offerings are cookie cut.
