  1. Hit a few good ones on ''The Bay''
  2. Sweet old Ford, some of those curves for bare metal foiling looked like they would have gave me fits, again great looking build.
  3. I built one also maybe 7 or 8 years ago and have another one unbuilt, I was just shocked someone checked the kit for accuracy.
  4. Pretty cool build, never seen anything like it before
  5. Gonna try a smaller body, it will still be a custom, have to dig to the bottom of the parts box for items on this one. At first with the cool front end piece supplied with the kit I was going gasser, but Im goin' with my other ideas. Getting started first things first drop it down..
  6. Thats pretty cool.
  7. 3rd for the year starting from June , thats 3 more builds than I did in 6 years. This kit is OK but it has some issues, some foil is not as crisp as it once was when I had younger eyes. I never noticed some of the rear window trim was faint until it was painted , I would have added thin strips, but oh well Im letting it roll onto the shelf as is, to many kits left I want to build. This is one long car
  8. One from back in the day I like it, very clean build
  9. Very cool stance, good build
  10. This is an everyday IRK . How many things do you pick-up and hold everyday....many right? With me I pick up an item and never think about it, but if its a model part odds are it could wind up on the floor, not just on the floor, I may have to get on all 4s to find it, if I can find it. Well thats my self rant / irk for the day.
  11. Nice build, your builds are uncluttered and clean looking.
  12. I bought it when it came out, never had it before but looking at the job Greg did Im glad I got it , nice job.
  13. Still have continental kit to install , I had to modify it as its for the stock chrome bumper not one of the custom bumpers. Finish bare metal foiling, install mirrors , attach spotlights [they are just fitted in pics] and twin antennas. Last on the bench updates .
  14. Outside pics
  15. Looks like some late nights on this build, great work so far.
  16. Nice clean build, I like the decals
  17. I switch gears on builds all the time. On the back burner I have a chopped top 53 Ford Im doing as a custom in resin. I work on it off and on. I used the Lindberg 53 Ford convertible as a donor and had to redo the interior because convertibles do not have a rear seat package shelf.Had to lower the rear seat back to clear the rear roof line. A lot of cutting and sanding. My 53 is a Flinstone also, and needs a lot of body smoothing and filling. I like his stuff , for the price its a lot better than some higher priced resin out there. Your wagon will turn out just fine, you started with strong subject matter.
  18. Im high on the customs right now ,and its a custom F-85 wagon. This is good stuff.
  19. Man thats thinking outside the box, almost F1 meets a Star Wars speedster. I like it, and nice job on the worn out look.
  20. Do you read the entire post or just up to where it gives you trouble understanding it? I was amazed someone checked it back when, not that I was complaining about 50 year old tooling being wrong...... Sheesh..
  21. Painted and cleared, wait a few days for polish. Interior pretty much done. No high detail on motor or chassis just build and paint. Paint is Testors Revving red with small metal flake. Alot of chrome to go on this one
  22. Been looking for some ideas on customs, and looking at all the old school shops, when I got to Starbirds site I found an article on the ''Predicta'' and how 50 years ago this show rod kit had accuracy issues. Who would have thought someone checked a show rod ? the rest of the article here http://thepredictaproject.org/?page_id=419
  23. Cool build, that builds up nice.Good work.
