Thats a good one Peter. I am a military aircraft "buff" and a big B-52 fan but that BUFF moniker does fit the C-17....maybe a sexy BUFF.?

I generally don't do a WIP but I thought what the heck on this one. I have some very wide aftermarket 5-spoke resin (similar to TorqueThrusts) wheels I'm hoping to use. Otherwise will be pretty much OOB. Not disclosing the topcoat color yet but today got the basecoat on the body. Paint is Createx Pearl Gold over Createx Autoborne black sealer. Thats all for now folks?

Well Harry, let me be the first to say WOW!!!!!!!!!??

For me, I gotta say there probably isn't any car I had (and there were many) I wouldn't want to drive today that I had in the past. In fact, I'd take any of them back now. But, I did have to drive a company supplied vehicle that was the terrible vehicle I was ever saddled with....an Isuzu pickup in the early 80's. Rode hard and was so slow it couldn't get out it's own way.

Great job Tulio. Can't go wrong with black?

Nice work there Gary? My very first car was a '57 Bel Air 2Dr Hardtop white with red/black interior. I too had chrome reverse wheels on it. Great memories.

Nice work. The real one was probably a comfortable ride.

Thank you Carl and David.

1969 Mustang SOHC Funny Car in shades of Pink!
TransAmMike replied to tim boyd's topic in Drag Racing
Great work as usual from you Tim and yep, keep the pics coming? -
With the new union/MLB agreement I'm sure glad that both leagues will use DH's and that stupid token runner on 2d base in extra innings is gone. Hearing now the Yankees are closing in on a 10 year deal on Carlos Correa. Hope they'll be happy paying him and being injured every season. Oh well.

Very nice work on the TA. You would think by now I would have done this model (I do have the kit in waiting). Good job Dan.

I agree with the "non-existant" window trim, actually the drip rail chrome. I generally don't do much extra work on most of my models and did consider doing something with the drip rails but just skimmed what was there with Molotow on a tooth pick. Good enough for me.

Molotow Liquid Chrome
TransAmMike replied to 69NovaYenko's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I airbrush unthinned Molotow to aftermarket resin and plastic wheels with very nice results. As many have said, touching it even after drying a week can dull it so thats a no-no. I'm pretty sure there was a fairly recent thread about sealing it. I'm too lazy to look it up but just do a search on here. I haven't tried any sealers but sure would like it if there is one that will work well. -
Thank you Gareth. The Molotow Chrome works well.

Hey there Tom. Thanks for the compliment about the marker lights. I used a toothpick.

Thank you Greg Thanks John. I surprised myself on this one? Thanks you Rusty. Probably one of my better acrylic paint jobs so far. Thank you Chaz Thanks James. Was never much of a greeen fan but I do like it. Thanks Chris Thank you David. Yep, it has it's issues but turned out nice. Thanks Terry,

Nope, no pre-order or reserve and no, our PayPal accound did not show anything.

My Wife looked at our bank debit card statement a few days ago and there was a $1.75 deduction from PayPal. SOB's can figure out all kind of ways to screw us.

Thanks my Friend.

Thanks Jim, I was reluctant to cut the headlights off but it was the only solution I could come up with. Hey Mario, thanks alot. I guess I didn't mention in the post I wasn't going for the factory shade of green. I just like the look of the Createx pearls.

My latest completion. OOB except for 5-spokes from an unknown kit (white plastic sprayed with Molotow). This kit is so so. Inaccuracies. I had to cut off the headlights from the front bumper/grill/headlight assembly assembly to get the grill with the bumper onto the body. There are no outside mirrors with this kit either. Primed with black Createx sealer and painted with Createx Pearl Green. Cleared with Future, air brushed . Thanks for looking!!

Next up: '66 Riviera - the last Nailhead
TransAmMike replied to customline's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Looks like a really nice kit Jim and those Riv's are good sharp lookin' cars. Will be looking at your progress. -
Well Ryan, that is a super realistic build there. Exceptional work??

Well my Friend, you did an absolute great job on the little guy. All aspects of it are right on!! Two thumbs up for that one??
