  1. Thats a great tutorial John. The aluminum wire bends pretty easily but I'm am sure the solder is more pliable and better suited. Thanks, gotta try that.
  2. What TJ said. You definately need to cut the foil wider than the trim while still on the sheet and using a straight edge (I have a 6" metal ruler) cut the length you need. As a few heve mentioned, I now use masking tape as a guide to trim the foil. Works great. I think I described it adequately.
  3. Yep, a lot to look at here. I have built only a couple of drag cars since I resumed building but being an actual former drag racer in my lot younger years I enjoy looking at the cool variations of this type of car.
  4. Looks great Al, cool car?
  5. Oh WOW thats so cool John, how 'bout some more pictures (engine, undercarriage). Beautiful build?
  6. Sorry I didn't comment on this one earlier Claude. Looks terrific with great details.?
  7. Looks great Al? Looking at the long hood, the real stock Pinto would have looked better with the hood a bit longer, just my opinion??
  8. Verrrry cool Dan, I like's it?
  9. Looks great Bill, interesting how you applied the window tint. My attempts at spraying the colored acrylic clear has not been very acceptible.
  10. That engine is shaping up nicely Steve. Those Fireball carbs are sure great looking.
  11. I'd sure like some tips on doing this. I made a set recently using 2mm aluminum "wire". I need to make a set for my '55 Chevy build and not looking forward to it.
  12. Thanks Chaz, I got it polished out now and and very pleased with the result.
  13. Sent to this address like this, won't go. SnakeACP45@ AOL.com
  14. I share that one with you too Richard, the wheels and tire part at least. I'm still a WIP on the other stuff. I'm needing wheels and tires for one right now.
  15. Got it Tony. Finishing up 2 on the bench right now, mayyyyybe, it will be next.
  16. Well that's just beautiful Anders??
  17. So true Jeff. My wife "loved" Davey so much her and our Daughter drove 5 hours to Alabama for the funeral.
  18. Very interesting and cool Tim. Nice work?
  19. Good job Tim?
  20. Very nice Jeff. I too lost interest in NASCAR but in my case Davey Allisons' tragic death crashing a helicopter he really had no business flying was the slow beginning of the end. Sure we still watched it for a few years after but the stupid rules changes, points changes and boring races......well you get the idea.
  21. Yep Mark, I just tried it. Exactly what you said, looks like about 1/16" on both sides. Thanks for the heads up my friend.
  22. I'm going with painting also, in general all the painting....in and out.
