  1. Looks great Ian. Cool and interesting car. Looking at the picture above with the real car behind the rail dragster. Man that car was low.
  2. Very nice Starliner Dan. I too am more of a GM fan and find it somewhat amusing a guy with the with the screen name 59 Impala builds a Ford. ?
  3. Thanks everyone for your comments, it's not exactly as I envisioned it but pretty close. And "Force", I had no idea about the 24" rule and as ya know I said I thought too high. But, in looking at old pictures it sure seems that there are some higher than 24". Anyway, thanks again Guys.
  4. I have had a WIP thread going on this car and now putting it in Under Glass section. This was my first somewhat scratch build. The whole front tube axle/leaf spring assembly is scratch built, In my opinion it's a bit too high but, oh well. l Did the windows with colored acetate. I debated on the front wheels. At first was going with Torque Thrust 5-spoke but decided not to break up a set of 4 so went with parts box Centerlines. Headers are scratchbuilt using aluminum wire. The paint is Duplicolor Mica Toreador red. A lot of minor flaws and some things could have been better but my work is also a WIP. Thanks for looking,
  5. Well thats certainly unique......and cool. Well done?
  6. Yep, looks fine. Foiling definately takes practice and it definately improves over time. My last job I tried the masking tape method as a guide. Worked darn good.
  7. Hi Joe, interesting build for you. I used to build airplanes but because of wingspans they take up a good bit of room displaying them. It is amazing all the aftermarket detail parts that available for them. Are you gonna paint it the mottled camo? I'll be watching with interest.
  8. Nice looking wheels but on Canada ebay as far as I can tell. Prices in Canadian.
  9. OK, decals put on and here is another pic of the real car and 3 of the model. Sorry for the different size pictures, I'm still a WIP with resizing.
  10. TJ , I got that kit for Christmas (along with several others) and I'm looking forward to getting started on it but I have never done a Tamiya kit and have some apprehensions getting started. There is another pretty detailed in WIP thread on this car on here too. Good luck and nice start on the engine. I'll be watching.
  11. Very nice Ludwig, great red!!?
  12. And another great looking Jag on the forum. Very pretty car Paul?
  13. Very nice Larry, I always admire beautiful black paint jobs?
  14. Wow!!! Thats really interesting and cool. Definately never seen that kit before. Beautiful job John?
  15. Looks great, all Thunderbolts were such cool cars (and I'm not even a Ford guy LOL)?
  16. I just looked again at the interior color Chang and I just love it!! Equal parts of each color or just random mix until color achieved?? Unless its a propriatory mixture (?Just kidding)
  17. Another nice build Chang!! That interior is beautiful?
  18. Jim, I got one of those circuit board holders a few months ago, never used it until today when I put on several decals on a completed model body. Worked great.
  19. Looks pretty darn good Daniel. I like the colors.
  20. Looks cool Mark!!
  21. Welcome Dan!!. I have never been on "social media" in my life, these forums are the closest I get. And this is by far my favorite forum. Enjoy
  22. And another cool early gasser. Very nice looking?
  23. I'm sure one of the several Dyno Don fans on here will recreate this one.
  24. Got the hand grip in today for the new airbrush I got for Christmas. Maybe I can try it out by spring unless warmer weather happens to show up.
  25. Thanks Marcos and Roger, and yes, I really should put the decals on it and in fact, since I'm kinda in between builds I may do that today.
