For what it's worth, in my opinion the 1:1 '61 is best looking Impala ever made. Anyway, I assume this kit is the same as the Nicholson race car, and if so as I remember this is a very easy and satisfying build. I know you'll do it up right Geoff.

I can't stress too much how I lovin this build Marcos my friend.. I've owned a lot, a whole lot of cool 1:1 cars and I always thought a notchback Mustang was one I would love to have and modify. Never will (too old and retired), but I can sure enjoy watching the outcome of this!!

I have 2 of the kits, one the original and the other the re-issue but I planned to do one as a vintage drag car and the other a street rod. One day I'll get around to it.

I Have one Dave but I have to paint in my unheated garage. I can get it heated up to about 60 degrees when outside temp is a little over 50 degrees.

For Christmas I got the Mr. Hobby Grex Proton 275 trigger dual action brush, unfortunately with the winter weather I have not been able to try it out and it's driving me nuts.

Mark, I'm definately getting a few ideas here for my unstarted pro-mod '63 i'll be doing. How did you do the what I guess are brake cooling vents behind the rear wheel wells?

Yep, my "Skips" Nomad was crushed at the back. Bought it on ebay a few years back and the seller refunded my money and told me to keep it so I came out good on that one. Have yet to built it tho.

Rustoleum Acrylic lacquer clear so far so good for me.

I owned an '87 Turbo Coupe, and can absolutely second what you said Steve, it was one fun and comfortable car to drive, loved it.

Yeah, Maury County south of Nashville and ANOTHER cold dreary day.

Currently I use Model Master Aluminum, Steel, and Chrome dulled with acrylic flat. I also have an old bottle of Model Master Metalizzer Magnesium that is supposed to be sprayed but I brush it and it doesn't look too bad. As for BMF, it is my go to for chrome trim. I was just wondering what others use.
