  1. Not a bad little engine. Looks good with a bit of detail.
  2. Bit more done today. I had to sand the edges of the hubcaps so they sat in the wheels rather than on them. They look much better now.
  3. Yeah, WABC was a giant in 60's and early 70's New York, often leapfrogging with WOR in the ratings. I didn't know his parents were Jazz musicians, I love hearing from the people who were there. Sorry, I'm always veering off topic on this forum! xD
  4. Looks great. That colour suits the Mustang nicely.
  5. ah, so it is the DJ Dan Ingram! I admit, the heyday of am radio is before my time, I often listen to archived recordings from the 60's and 70's which is how I know about DJ's such as Big Dan. He's fun to listen to, always mocking the musicians! xD
  6. Yes, It does look good! I didn't even suggest it, he just had a nose through my spares tin and wanted to put it on. What he wants to do next is his own custom using parts from my spares tin. He wants to create, is the vibe I got from him, haha! I recommended he build a few more basic kits first, but if he wants to jump straight into the deep end then I wont stop him.
  7. Thanks. I can see what the odd parts are for now. That part I thought was an oil can is part of the gear shift! So they deleted nearly all the custom parts but left the clocks, half a gear shift, magneto, rear pan brace, lower custom tail lights, custom decals and left a big hole in the firewall for a metal hood clip, Lol. This kit is a bit of mess!
  8. I checked out Porcupine. Some of it's heavy, not really my thing, but then a lot of their work has a very similar sound to Crowded House.
  9. The paint on these is amazing! I especially like the purple 59 and the green Bel Air?
  10. It's a recipe that works, that Willys looks good too. Dan Ingram? Is he a custom designer? I see that name and think of the WABC DJ!
  11. Flags unlimited? I can't see the link, unless you're hinting at painting a maple leaf on the roof? xD
  12. Stunning paint! This model was my sons first build, the official pace car by Revell. The hood doesn't close properly but I've seen most these kits have that issue when the glass is in.
  13. This has definitely been a strange one with regards to odd pieces! I'd love to find the original kit just to compare what is and isn't on the sprue trees.
  14. What a lovely looking kit, very unusual but looks amazing. Good job!
  15. These are such beautiful cars. Can't wait to build mine. Good job on this, and I really like the colour.
  16. Beautiful colour. The interior looks very well done, it's spot on.
  17. Kit comes with two distributors!?
  18. Underside is done, but I don't like how the red looks against the chassis. I might paint it all black before I fit the suspension.
  19. Detailed the grill and badge bar, also placed the red clear in the rear lights. The kit comes with two sets for some reason, which is good cos I dropped one on the floor when cutting it from the sprue which entered that other dimension where all small kit pieces that fall on floor go!
  20. Interior is finished. I fitted the extra bank of clocks under the dash and fitted the seat belts. The added tach on the transmition tunnel is there to just cover a hole for a stick shift. This car has a lot of clocks now! haha,
  21. It does look cool. I've been wanting to build a gasser for a while and this ticks all the cool boxes! For some reason the saloon version of the '57 is hard to find in the UK.
  22. Good job! I never would have known they were widened from scratch unless you said. I love Cragars, they look good on anything.
  23. They look good! How did you widen them?
  24. Nicely detailed kit, very nice. I love the paint scheme.
  25. Good job on the wheels, they look great. I like the colour with that stripe, very 70's.
