  1. I like that. Nice raised stance on great looking wheels.
  2. Well, it works, Lol! I sometimes get paint reactions and 'textures' in my paint, but never on the parts it would look good on! haha
  3. It is indeed, they're all flipping red! haha.
  4. It'll be something to see if he keeps at it for sure.
  5. Yeah, all good mate, same to you. Is the cracking in the paint on the seats and floor intentional? That would actually look perfect as aged leather on the seats!
  6. Seriously nice work. Engine looks beautiful.
  7. Very nice, I love that orange. You're going to town on the details!
  8. Paint issues seem to be hitting everyone this month. You can wet sand the paint back and repaint it if you don't want to completely strip it.
  9. It could be the Nomad, I just call it a station wagon. Here's a picture of the Ford I was thinking of, I get them mixed up! looking at it again I might buy it today actually! Lol
  10. These 50's creations were something else! Nice work on the paint, very sharp looking build.
  11. That is seriously nice! I like the green tint glass. I bought this same kit just the other day.
  12. I love these things. In the UK, the front of an Austin Mini Cooper is a popular sofa conversion.
  13. Very nice. I like the silver paint.
  14. oops, I meant rad hoses, not heater hoses. I've confused many a motor shop over the phone getting them mixed up, Lol. I think I've only done two kits where the heater hoses were included.
  15. He did say when he opened the box, "wow, that's a lot of parts" Lol, A lot of the chrome has been touched up with Molotow pen due to glue fingers. On top of the suspension parts breaking, one of the headlight lenses had to be replaced as it melted when he used cement instead of canopy glue Lol, and the wheels are locked solid but he's not fazed at all. Certainly more patients than I have, it would have ended up in the bin if I had those issues! xD
  16. Looking good. Even kits themselves have a carpet monster in them. A few of my models have heater hoses hidden in the engine bay somewhere, nice surprise for a future restorer! "Why'd he glue it there for?" Lol
  17. Dashboard looks outstanding! Is that a Kleenex tissue box under the dash?
  18. Yes, he likes to use the Molotow pen and black-wash a lot since discovering them, haha!
  19. Ah, ok. I'll stick those in then! I did think the lenses were for the grill bar, but the turn signals are convex to be painted amber. The lenses are much smaller and don't fit.
  20. I did the whitewalls by placing a washer of the right size over the tyre, masked around it and just sprayed aerosol down there.
  21. It'll have to do, lol. I'm not taking it apart now after detailing and glue!
  22. After telling myself a thousand times that the door cards are silver top and bottom with red in the centre I go ahead and invert the colours! ? aaagh!!
  23. On the tree there are some parts I think that were from the original AMT kit. They don't go anywhere on this build from what I can see. There are two tiny clear lenses, a set of gauges and what looks like an oil can? I have no idea what the other piece next to it is.
  24. Cheers, guys. He seems to have caught the kit building bug, maybe he can create his own account here then instead of me posting for him, but it's still early days. He might just have these kits in him and give it up, like I did at his age, but we'll see.
  25. haha! and a 'fork' in the road, xD Should be included in the kit!
