I was hoping to jump on to an existing thread but can't find one. Anyone know where I can get custom decals made? My printer just isn't capable of doing them. I need the call letters for a radio station that was on the side of a '66 Oldsmobile Cutlass, 'WCFL news' The letters were coloured red gold purple green, and the word 'news' in black. I can supply picture and measurements. Thanks

Fitting, indeed. I was trying to paint the whitewalls freehand, but couldn't get it right. I was trying to think of something then that would hold the wheels and turn them, almost straight away I thought, record player! haha, -

What's the best way to make perfectly round whitewalls, and in keeping of the theme of this build? A record player, what else! xD -

xD, haha!! One particular aircheck of WLS I remember was of John Records Landecker, while playing an advert for a feminine itch relief cream he starts scratching the mic -
That's very nicely done. Would love see these, and other 70's land yachts, reproduced one day.

Thanks, guys.

Nice colour. Good job on the interior and the engine, very clean.

Nice. I was behind one of these the other day in a similar colour on the way to work. Nice work on the seat belts.

Like a diesel train, that thing ain't stopping for nothing! Looks amazing, I like this a lot? -
Well done mate, I've been following this on WIP. I did two builds at once and it was a grind! Nicely detailed and I like those colours.

Very nice. Can't go wrong with black and red.?

Sounds like you had a right nightmare with this kit. It turned out looking good though.

Lovely colour. My son is working on this model now, he's gone with a light blue and not the Christine.

I'm having a go at making those rings on the hubcaps using drinking straws, they look long here so I can hold them. I'll sand them down when the glue has dried leaving just a tiny raised ring in the centre. Don't know if it will work as they will probably fall off as soon as I touch them but it's worth a try. -
The foiling looks good, they're coming along nicely.

Anyone here dealing with "eye floaters"????.....
doorsovdoon replied to Deuces ll's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I've had those annoying things for years, one eye is worse than the other. There's one in my left eye that often floats directly into my line of sight, I just flick my eye's to the left or right and it shoots off somewhere and I don't see again for days. -
Thanks, Chris.

They're perfect. Thanks again, Chris. The tyres I'm using are from the '64 Impala and fit perfectly. Yeah, WLS was a good station, John Records Landecker, "Records truly is my middle name" -

I have my own 'Animal story' wish I could have sent it in to Larry and Tommy! My sister in law recently got given a puppy and asked my girlfriend if she would kindly go down to the pet store to get a dog tag for her collar. She wanted to get a ready made one but instead I suggested we drive down to the pet store where they have a machine that stamps out your dogs name and number on a custom shaped tag, nice touch I thought and only costs five bucks. I was about to get out of the car to use this machine but my girlfriend said ''no,no.. I'll go, you'll probably screw it up anyway'' Ok, no problem I thought. After about fifteen minutes she marches out with a face like thunder straight toward me. She opens the car door and I ask what's wrong, I thought maybe the staff were rude to her or something... no, it was the machine... or rather, my girlfriend not knowing how to use the machine! She handed me the dog tag as she was telling me about ''that stupid machine'' and ''We should have just got a ready made one'' I looked at the bone shaped dog tag to see what was wrong. She told me that written on the instructions was ''Enter Your Name and phone number''......... which she did! Stamped plain as day on the tag was 'NICOLA' (my girlfriends name) I looked up at her with a grin that couldn't for the life of me be hidden! I knew from the look she was giving me she was saying... Don't even think of laughing or your a dead man! That was it, I almost died! xD I had to get out of the car because I couldn't breath from laughing so hard! I dropped my keys but couldn't pick them up as I was bent over with laughter! I pointed at the keys on the floor and hooted a whistle at her, I said ''here girl, fetch'' ? She stood there arms crossed not impressed! That day if looks could kill I'd be a dead man for sure! -

Yeah, WLS was CFL's biggest competitor. I've listened to a few of those animal stories, some of them are hilarious, like the robber and the German Shepherd who got punched in the mouth holding up a store! xD
