  1. That's cool, be nice to have matching seats. I do have the custom seats left over from the '70 Pontiac I quite fancy, I may put them in as I really like them, but I don't know yet. I'll do some test fitting with them an see how it looks.
  2. Nice, I remember the movie. I've looked everywhere on Google and can't find it, but I'm sure I remember this car had a clear perspex hood?
  3. wow, that thing looks amazing, I love it! The last pic looks like a real car!
  4. Yeah, the plastics from back then are beyond hope. I'm not an originality freak so I'd be willing to replace the entire body if need be. Some promos had cool details on the underside like working torsion bars, friction drive, and text on the exhaust and suspension parts.
  5. What's everyone's thoughts on restoring old promo kits? I see them pop up from time to time in the UK but they're usually badly warped and missing parts. I've always wanted to do a kit restoration but not sure if I can handle a glue bomb! I was thinking maybe an old promo kit that screws together where parts from a newer release can be used.
  6. A couple weeks back the tip fell out of my 1mm pen and emptied the contents all over the table! I have a 2mm pen which I bought a couple months back and, apart from cleaning the cap which can get glued to the pen, is still good.
  7. Nice colour. I've always loved the 70's Buick Regal since watching Kojak back in the day.
  8. Nice builds, I especially like the 69.
  9. I like the paint job on this. Your scratch building is getting better.
  10. Cool. It's nice to see these older kits being built.
  11. That's what I'm thinking:) The tyres on the left of those are a little fatter, subtle fatties on the back maybe? Love this hobby, haha!
  12. I only now noticed that the front seat has a different pattern to the back?
  13. Engine nearly finished. I brush painted the engine cos I didn't have any aerosol, it took days to give it a decent coat. These Humbrol paints seem to be a lot thinner than I remember when I last used them back in the 90's. Maybe they contained lead back then, Lol!
  14. Seeing as this will now be a fairly new looking car, I'm trying different tyre and wheel combos to see which ones will go best with the car.
  15. Looks great. It's nice to see one not built up like KITT from Night Rider.
  16. That's nicely done. Great colours.
  17. What a beautiful car, and that leafy background is amazing. Really nice job!
  18. Nicely done. I like those wheels and tyres.
  19. Beautiful tribute, very nice.
  20. I used to work in a scrap yard in the 90's and we had piles of them we would sell cheap to the Autograss boys.
  21. In the UK I would say model planes of WWII and trains are far more popular than cars. Probably why it's so hard to find certain model cars that seem to be everywhere in the states.
  22. I know. I noticed, amongst other details, the door handles are moulded in on mine. I couldn't find the newer release here in the UK but I didn't mind so I settled for this. I prefer older castings anyway:)
  23. ok, so I had another go at chrome foiling and what do ya know, it worked out quite well this time! It's nowhere near perfect, but miles better than I've ever done before. Things are looking up:)
