  1. yes, as you say the roof line is different. The fact I don't have any decals for the right look either that leaves the old faded daily driver! I won't be going wild with the weathering as I've never done it before, but I'm pretty good rubbing paint through to primer, xD! I'm looking forward to this build. Something different for a change to the usual factory fresh look I do.
  2. That's got the right look. I love the wheels and the big fatties on the back!
  3. Yes, that's very true. Same situation with television and radio studios, a lot of stuff was never recorded or just thrown out. Nobody thought there would be any interest in that kind of history.
  4. Thanks, Curtis. I checked it out and Postage is more than the parts to the UK.
  5. ok, I think I've narrowed it down. I love the custom but I think I'll leave that for the two door and I've already done a Yellow Cab, so that leaves the weathered daily and one of the police cars. The sheriff car is from a horror movie so might not be real livery and the decals I have for Chicago police are from the 70's. If I can get the right decals It's likely I'll do Chicago Police, if not it's going to be the weathered daily.
  6. Sorry, I meant existing as in something already butchered.
  7. Some pictures I've mulled over for inspiration,
  8. Yep, Eldorado. For the longest time I always thought it was a Monte Carlo until I saw the film again a few years back.
  9. ah, I see, trying to promote the show type of deal. What a shame, they should have used an existing mould of something else instead.
  10. Nice. Fred looks like he's taking a hard right turn, haha.
  11. Was the Pontiac ever even in the show? I didn't know about it until I saw the kit, not surprising, I've watched some clips and it's awful. Seems a waste if they cut up the moulding to make something that's not even the slightest bit famous, it is a waste.
  12. Very nice! I like the last picture, looks like a real car entering the paddock.
  13. Thanks, Dave. I'm guessing most of the pictures I've seen are used cars where the whitewalls have been replaced years ago with regular rubber. ok, so thin whitewalls are definitely an option on this build.
  14. I can do whitewalls, though they don't seem to be that common on this car.
  15. Excellent attention to detail, even the pin holes where the script badge used to be on the rear wings!
  16. Nice! Very clean builds. I've painted all my models with auto paints, I didn't know it could warp the plastic like that, though I'v always done both sides of my hoods.
  17. I agree, also the arrow cut outs all point in the same direction, so one side will always look wrong.
  18. Nice. Very unusual wheel trims.
  19. I've seen builds of this and been wanting to do one for some time. Really cool that Round 2 reissued this one!
  20. Before I start this one, any suggestions are very welcome as to how I should build this cos even though it looks ridiculously cool box stock it just looks like someone else's stock 67 Impala build with custom wheels! I have a few wheel to choose from and I'm leaning toward the steels, maybe without caps. I think the wheels are going to dictate how this car will be built. Steels= weathered and dull paint. Rostyles= Used to be dads car now son is making it not so dad looking, and spokes= low rider or mild custom. There's Yellow cab or Highway patrol option too.
  21. Beautiful colour, and the white stripe looks perfect on it.
  22. Looks stunning! I really like that.
  23. Thanks, Dave. Yes, love the sleeper look. The wheels were in my spares tin and I knew they were going on this before I even bought it! haha.
  24. Great build! I love the interior colour.
