  1. While I'm waiting for the paint to dry on my current project I though I'd post some pics of my past builds as they were done before I joined the forum. Hope you like it, this is one of my favourites. I think this was my second build after the 76 Ford Torino, which was the first kit I'd built in over twenty years!
  2. Cool little truck. I love the trailer!
  3. Very nice, that interior is cleean!
  4. Passion wagon! Very nice. If the van's a rockin' don't come a knockin'! xD
  5. I need to visit this truck section more often, that's very nicely done.
  6. Stunning! I've been wanting to do the Charger for a while now. It must have been quite something to see these on the road back in the day!
  7. Ok, so nearly ready to start assembling this car but I got a massive paint reaction on the chassis, so had to take it back down to the plastic and start again. It's no big deal, I wasn't that keen on the white underside anyway. I'll just paint it all black with a dusting of the body colour.
  8. oh, Lol! Do I really work that fast? Unless it's a super detailed build like many I've seen on here I thought a few days is a normal time frame for my skill level.
  9. Very nice. There's always room for mustard! I'm working on the 67 442 and your right, the tyres are very small for this car.
  10. Finished making the hub caps last night, they turned out great. I've never made parts this small before, lol. The wheels I've chosen to use don't fit the back plate discs very well, they stick out, so I just cut the raised locating ring off and now fit ok, there's still room for the little disc that locks the wheels to the hub. I had to take the paint down on the car as I got a strange mottled effect, I painted it outside last night and it was extremely damp, probably moisture in the air. Small potatoes as they say.
  11. Thanks for the info, Michael. This kit also has A/C, I think? Two large corrugated pipes and a pump at the pulley. We never really got A/C in the UK until the 1980's and even then it was only on more up market cars. A/C wasn't really the norm here until the early 2000's!
  12. Cheers, Richard. I'm ok for these caps but will be getting some similar to the Cutlass for the WCFL News car I have coming up.
  13. Thanks, Nigel. Yes, I've been wanting to use this style of wheel for a while but been waiting for something that they look good on. Yeah, should be done by Sunday.
  14. I wanted to go with some different wheels on this and I love how the dog dish caps look on white steels, but I only have one, the other three are on my San Francisco Yellow cab, so I'll have to make the other three. Luckily, I have some experience in mould making, making plastic parts for classic cars, so making 1/25 scale hub caps will be a doddle for me... I hope! I've started a mould in an old jam jar lid which should be set and ready to use tomorrow. Fingers crossed, I've never mixed this low a volume of silicone before!
  15. Thanks, Guido.
  16. Thanks, Steve. Yeah, I'll get back to it eventually. Nice work on the 56 Bel Air! If I'd cut open the doors too that really would have been the end for this kit, lol.
  17. Very well done. Could easily be a thumbnail in a YouTube video "Will it start after sitting 35 years in a bog" haha. Nice work on the seat, I really like that!
  18. wow, this is great!
  19. Nice. I had the European version of this many years ago in metallic bronze, badge'd as the Opal Monza here.
  20. It's come a long way from where it was, a complete transformation. Looks great now.
  21. Thanks for the kind words, Bill:) I'm more upset that it was a build people were looking forward to and then it just fell apart as soon as it started. Can't help but feel like I let everyone down, I know that's not the case but you get what I'm saying.
  22. That's one happy looking Firebird! Good job on the engine wiring, something I need to start doing.
  23. ah well, it's a good candidate to practice on. Maybe an ambulance, or station wagon custom.
