  1. Very nice. My favourite style of the Firebird. I loved The Rockford Files. TV in the UK back in the 90's used to air all the old American TV shows.
  2. Thanks, Anders. Yes, I was thinking that the moment I bought the kit, though I did want to do other colours because Beige is just so bland. I'm glad I did, as like you say it's spot on for this style of car.
  3. Just did the last coat of paint. I'm going to let it cure for a day or so before I mask off for the chassis detail. Last time, I think it was the Mercury Cyclone, I was too hasty and pulled the paint off when removing the tape. I'm going with different wheels on this, the tyres are from a 1961 Impala, the steel rims are from the 1962 Buick Electra and hub cap from the 1970 Galaxie 500 police car. I need to make three more cos the others are on my Yellow Cab! I'm getting good feels from this kit:) Usually at this point I'd be dealing with casting lines and badly fitting parts, but so far there really isn't anything to fault this kit. It reminds me of the Boss Mustang I did, that was a real nice kit to work with.
  4. I do like the convertible. I was looking for that when I bought the 66 hardtop, couldn't find one anywhere in the UK.
  5. He was great. I love hearing his recordings. He was very sarcastic at times!
  6. Already coming along, guys:) I didn't want to spend too much time thinking of colour combos so I just went with my first option. White, black hood and red interior.
  7. I used to have one of those Escorts in metallic green with a brown vinyl roof, mk2 16 Ghia converted from auto to a five speed Sierra box. Loads of fun! Hay, cheers, Chris, I'll pm you about those wheels. I'll definitely buy a set from you. I was going to make resin copies of the 70 Pontiac I recently did, they were the closest I could find to the Cutlass.
  8. Nice paint. I really like those wheels!
  9. Thanks, Stephen. Same here, I had so many colour options in my head before I built this I wouldn't mind a few more of these kits myself just to try different colour combos.
  10. I've seen lots of different versions with different box art. When I bought mine I wasn't sure if they included the Rally wheels. Some of them have the Rally wheels and others don't for some reason.
  11. Right then, no cutting the roof off this one, box stock and nothing more! xD I was going to build this as the WCFL radio news car but this is a 67 model, not the 66 that was used. I have a 66 Olds but I'm waiting for a set of decals for that. In the meantime, here's the 67 442. I'm thinking of painting it white with satin black hood and dark red interior, and maybe changing the wheels.
  12. Nice! I love the Monte kit. I did one the other day in beige. They are indeed a well made kit. Mine was moulded in red and came with Rally wheels. Hopefully whoever has the mould will re-release it with full detail chassis and engine.
  13. That's nicely done.
  14. Good job! I love the interior, and the graphics are nice with that colour.
  15. Thanks, Stephen. wow now, one at a time! xD I did two kits at once a month or so back and painted some parts for one car thinking it was for the other! Got very confusing, and frustrating!
  16. Brilliant! Would fit right in the movie 'The fifth element'
  17. I can think of tons of good stuff on Netflix, but without bombarding you with a massive list here's a couple of good ones, 'I don't feel like I belong in this world anymore' 'A simple favour' Two good movies there to get you started.
  18. Larry Lujack? He was WCFL and WLS, king of the corn belt!
  19. haha, I found a couple of websites that lists airchecks from the 60's up to the present a few years ago and was a breath of fresh air compared to rubbish on the radio today! Been downloading and listening to them since. WLS, 93 KHJ, WNCI, there all there! Love the Boss jocks from back then, Larry Lujack, the real Don Steele, Frankie Crocker. Good stuff.
  20. Nicely done. The colour is just right.
  21. Yeah, Marina city! I think it's a news and talk radio station now?
  22. Nice and crisp! Very clean build, I like it.
  23. Thanks for the heads up, Michael. Nice bit of info there, could be a news story in itself! 'This is Jeff Kamen, WCFL news, on the South Side' :D
