  1. That's a nice colour combo. Looks good.
  2. I really like that! Beautiful colour, looks great outside.
  3. I can't give my opinion on the Revell kit as I haven't built it but I've done the AMT version and it went together like Lego, not a single fit issue. I think the only parts missing from the Papa Truck to make a regular Aerodyne is the fifth wheel and rear mud flaps, the mud guards behind the fuel tanks are in the kit on the chrome tree from pictures I've seen.
  4. The new AMT '62 Nova wagon has a squirrel.
  5. Any of the Pontiac Bonnevilles from 1967 to 1969. I've built the '65 and '70 and would love to fill in the gap!
  6. Got the blue stripe done. I'll wait a few days for the blue to cure before I go putting tape over it for the next colour, when the yellow is done I'll have to leave that cure for a few days also before I can do the pinstripes. After that, I'll finish detailing and clearcoat the whole cab.
  7. I'm the same, I don't mind if the wheels have to be glued solid on a kit, though I do like them rolling if I can. Other than the old annual solid axle kits I've yet to find any other design that rolls as easily.
  8. Thanks, Ronnie. It's a MG Rover colour called "Pageant Mid Blue"
  9. Nice progress. I like the wheels and the centre console, looking really good. I have the dreaded MPC version of this to build soon!
  10. Thanks, Anders.
  11. Beautiful! It's a great little kit, isn't it. Love the colour and the outdoor shots, looks real! I too am looking forward to when they release it again with an engine.
  12. The fifth wheel just sits on the... um, I don't know what it's called, Lol, but it has no pin holes for the fifth wheel to tilt on, you just permanently glue the two together. I want it to be able to take a trailer and then tilt it down when not in use, so I drilled some small holes in both parts and used some tapered styrene for pins that'll wedge in nice and tight, I think they're tail fins from a custom option off another kit!
  13. Thanks, guys. Yeah, the engine looks awesome in that gold. I had my doubts about an engine being painted bright gold but it looks good in the frame. Most of the frame is finished. I still have the mud flaps to paint and I might have to remove the front air brakes as they look too close to the tyres, but it wont matter too much as I've had to permanently glue the hubs to the back plates. One of the front hub pins broke off trying to press the drum on, the other side is so tight it would snap the pin off that side too if I were to turn it, and the rear pins don't have any snap fixtures, the hubs just slide on with nothing to hold them. If you want the wheels to turn on this kit it will take hours of work.
  14. As time went on things happened and just never picked it up again. That street drawing with the turbine cars was based on a street near me where my friend lived. The street and houses are long gone now but there were always these two Ford Corsairs parked outside and always thought they looked like turbine cars.
  15. Blue wins! It looked good in black but you could hardly see any of the details, especially when all the other parts will be attached. I got the first colour on the cab. I'll mask off for the blue next, or the yellow, whichever is easier to do before the other. Engine is painted in that unusual chrome gold, odd colour for an engine but that's how they were it seems. Looks good, but boy, this paint loves fingerprints! it just doesn't seem to want to dry, so I might have to clear coat it but that might dull it down a bit.
  16. yeah, those hinges are pretty beefy.
  17. Nice work on the box. Are the doors and frame from the AMT Semi Trailer? That was a "fun" kit, having no numbers on the sprues!
  18. Amazing build, it looks so right. It looks like an Australian muscle car, especially in that colour. Very, very nice.
  19. Cool build, such an underappreciated car. I really like the Mustang II.
  20. Interior bucket looks to fit nicely in there, cool looking build and nice colour. One of my favourite kits is the Park Lane Merc.
  21. Very nice looking build. Beautiful looking cars these T-Birds.
  22. A kit of KITT! Looks great, I like that. The show was one of my favourites growing up.
  23. That's one to be proud of, flawless build. I think that one would have pride of place on my shelf, looks so good.
  24. That's cool, very nice looking build.
  25. Nice looking build, I really like the colour.
