Those wheels look good on the Corvette. Seen them on the '57 Chevy, they're not bad looking wheels for a snapper.

Cheers, guys. I've been wanting to build this kit since it was released. I had so many concepts running through my head with this one. Amblewagon, woody wagon, voting campaign car with the loudspeaker on the roof, radio reporters car, I couldn't wait to pick it up, lol.

Not much in the box with this kit except a few decals, but there is a squirrel animal toy included on the sprue and I love those things. The little toy mascots, or whatever you want to call them that AMT used to include, I think were great and would love to see more of that from Round2. I originally painted the car grey with a white roof but it looked too bland and boring, so after stripping it and painting it red and white I thought it looked like a fire chiefs car, so that's what I did with it. I had a lot of fun adding all the accessories, though I wish I had stacked the side decals on one door rather than across both front and back. The gumball roof light and siren is from the Monogram 1957 Del Rio wagon police option, the CB areal is a scratch build from various bits of plastic for the bracket and a length of solder wire. For a basic curbside kit it's not bad at all, parts like the grill and especially the dashboard are very nicely detailed.

Got the interior finished last night. The detail on the door cards is lacking, especially on the driver side it's almost smooth. Done the best I could but I'm happy enough with it. I added a tool box and fire extinguisher in the load bay just so it didn't look so empty in there. I broke the telephone receiver that came with the kit, it's very fragile and shattered like glass, it was on the red clear sprue and seems a lot more brittle than the white styrene, but I have loads of telephones in my spares tin so just threw one of them in.

Nice to see the two different generations side by side. Nice neat work around the front grill, you done a real nice job on these. Good stuff.

Looks good, I like the colour. Those wheels don't look too bad do they, I quite like those.

Humbrol paints are ok but they seem thinner than they used to be, they have changed over the years. Certain colours like silver are very gritty. I remember I could brush paint a model like you have done here and it would only take one coat and look smooth as you like, but now it has more of a consistancy like wood glue. It's still good paint but nowhere near as good as it used to be.

I like the dashboard in this kit, easily detailed and comes with a decal for the clocks. The CB radio is from my parts tin, I think it's from the Chevy Nova Squad Rod.

Body is finished. I found some lights in my parts tin to mount on the roof and Rockford kindly supplied me the decals. Just the interior left now and this one is done. Awesome little model, it's such a basic bare bones kit it almost begs for the builder to do more with it than what comes in the box! If this was a more detailed kit I doubt I would have done all this to it.

I could try. The best way I can explain it is, you don't paint the part, rather, you dust or fan around it. Most of the aerosol is blown into the wind.

Love that B4 Audi 80! Where did you get that from? I had one in the same colour up until a few years ago, what an awesome car. Nice build there by the way!
