  1. wow, for your first semi build that looks great! I'm loving the colour scheme, and all the parts are nicely detailed, very clean. These snap kits are great for getting into semi truck building. Mt first semi build too was a snapper, the Peterbilt version of this kit. The problem is, once you build a semi kit you'll want to build more, but then find you have no room to put them anywhere. Like most of us though, you'll find an excuse to build another, trust me. Lol!
  2. Looks like one of a brand new fleet of plows ready for delivery to the depot. Very nice.
  3. Stunning KW, very clean build. The decals really go nice with that colour, very nice.
  4. Looks amazing, I love it! Weathering looks perfect.
  5. Personally I don't think self driving cars, on a global scale, will ever be a thing, not that it's impossible, or that people will be too stubborn to accept such a technology, it'll never be a thing because of lawsuits. Say your family members died in a self driving car because the computer thought the better outcome in a crash was to dive the car off the road into a deep river (that the computer probably doesn't know is there by the way) rather than head on into a school bus on a single track road, it might have been the right decision but would you accept it? You'd be saying to yourself for the rest of your life "If I were driving I would have done this, or done that" Self driving cars will probably be introduced on a wide scale one day, but the court hearings over such controversies would soon see it all dismantled, and we all know insurance companies can be a bit dodgy when they feel the heat so there would be scandals involved as well.
  6. Sorry, double post! Can't delete, so here it stays!?
  7. Ooh, I love this kit, probably my favourite by AMT. The extras that come with it are more in number I think than the actual car, lol. I have a couple more of these to build myself, a custom is definitely on the cards. Look forward to seeing this one come along, you done some great work already, very nice.
  8. These seem to be finally arriving in the UK, been wanting to build one since it was announced. Basic curbside kit, though it does have nicely detailed inner fenders, opening hood and a space in the chassis for an engine, but strangely, doesn't come with one. I was hoping to fit the slant six from my '64 Belvedere kit, I know it's a Mopar and this is Chevy, but it was a thought. Unfortunately the slant six from that kit is way too big, I'd also have to make a radiator, master cylinder, battery and a heater box, so I decided there's no craftsmanship happening on my part here and just glued the hood on, Lol! I've made a start on the foiling, I'm attempting foil under paint again but this time I know what to look out for to avoid any issues with this method, I still may screw it up though but I'm hoping I can only get better the more I try it. Colour will be a bluish grey, I might do the roof and pillars in white but if I'm not feeling it it'll be all one colour.
  9. I love the 60's Batmobile, very nice work on this. I had a die cast toy of this as a kid, it had a mechanism for shooting plastic rockets out those pipes but we used to use lit cigarette matches instead! ..outside of course, but still dangerous, it caused a couple of garden fires I remember! Lol
  10. That's going to look a real stunner. Beautiful paint, very heavy flake in it, I like that.
  11. That's a really nice looking build, looks real. Stunning colour and the interior looks very crisp. Absolutely beautiful.
  12. I finally got the '63 Chevy Wagon "craftsman plus" I've been waiting for this one to arrive in the UK for a while. I've already made a start on it, I'll post in WIP:)
  13. Ooh very nice! Loving that deep red. Awesome looking car.
  14. Some of the more up market models had Fast Forward function, but yeah, no rewind cos the tape is on a continuous loop. The thing I like about 8-track is, you can change the channel to the next track if there's a song your not quite into that's playing.
  15. I have an 8-track player in my car, I have an 8-track recorder too so I can make my own compilations for when I'm out in it. Recording on 8-track though is a nightmare because there's no real way of telling where the tape ends, and timing the number of songs you can put on a track before the next channel kicks in is a bit of an art! Fading the last song out using the levels just before the next channel is something there should be an award for! Lol. I usually just record old radio airchecks on them, it's easier. 8-track is a fun format, and surprisingly excellent sound quality.
  16. I built up the slant six seeing as it's a complete engine. It's extremely well detailed, definitely one the nicest detailed engines I've worked with in a 1:25 kit.
  17. Thanks, Craig. Cheers, mate.
  18. Thanks, Tom. I took the picture in my kitchen near the window, the card is just reflecting the light from it. When I used the flash it looked like a nuke went off! haha,
  19. Looks like a real outdoor shot with the background, paint is flawless. Very nice build.
  20. Great looking build, looks like it just finished a weekend on the track.
  21. Beautiful. These pre war rat rods are just so unique.
