  1. Between THOSE two color choices I’d say the green hands down. BUT, if you could do a blue like in the picture below, then I’d say blue would be better.
  2. Thanks Rex! ... There’s so much elusiveness reguarding these cars. Kind of mind boggling. That looks like the very first one in that pic above
  3. So I’m assuming there was no seatbelt in the passenger side of the 65 Daytona Coupe?? And I’m trying to figure out if the drivers side was just a lap belt or a harness... Anyone know???
  4. However, on this one, according to the rules I read on the above link, this sure doesn’t look like it would keep the luggage protected from the elements...
  5. Oh wow! ... I always thought those were some type of air duct ... that is nuts! ... And the dimpled trunk thing on the Cobra takes me back to the movie Ford v Ferrari where Miles is beating the trunk with a hammer. Lots of research knowledge to be found on these forums!?
  6. I didn’t know either Mark, I just now learned this for myself... It was a requirement in the FIA rulebook for GT cars. This link is where I read it. (Article 253 noted towards bottom of the post) http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2016/12/the-odd-spare-tire-in-australias-racing.html
  7. I know this car. Its got a cool emblem.
  8. It has potential ... kinda looks like a lead sled in back ... the front is unusual.
  9. Thank you Mark! Hey all, I got the three-piece roll bar glued in place and the rear sail panels, so I thought I’d combine the chassis and floor pan together for some pics to give a good idea of overall progress minus the body. The floor pan, seats and chassis are not glued together yet. I need to get a few more things done before I can do that.
  10. That’s too bad ...quite young
  11. Shawn, WOW!... The last thing I got to see on this was on your WIP when you were making a scuddle vent from scratch...talk about attention to detail and doing things right! ... Seeing it now all buttoned up, it is amazingly clean and beautifully finished. I was wondering if you could make it look as killer as the box top picture, and you most certainly did. Great work! BTW, I’m curious what tape you used for masking off the different colors?... the lines came out very crisp.
  12. Stinky grumbling hobos
  13. After singlehandedly shoveling about 30 tons of snow and slush, I finally got my car un-trapped from my normal alley parking spot and into a spot that I can actually get in and out of. HURAY!!!! This is my front yard
  14. Thanks guys. We’re in the middle of a major snow event up here so I’ve spent the majority of the day shoveling tons of snow, slush and ice. My goal has been to get seatbelts and buckles done by sometime this evening also ... I am so pooped! ... Maybe after I eat I’ll get back in the groove.
  15. Well, I just now saw this amazing thing so I’m gonna un-bury it. Dann, what a fantastic build of an incredible work of high performance art. Among the most beautiful modern cars. This pic is like looking at jewels! (or candy?)
  16. Sure do see some body line similarities here (FIAT Barchetta)
  17. Can never have too many Cobras ... really like that yellow! ..I’m following this?
  18. Dang! Hmm, Styrenestan ... that must be a long way from here?
  19. Thanks Kurt! ... Heres a bit more progress I got done last night ... Hoping to get belts and buckles made and posted by sometime later tonight also .
  20. True ... it deffinately takes away any feelings of guilt for couping up in the house with bed head and sweatpants on from morning till night... Perfect for modeling achievements.
  21. Yeah... I’ve come to learn that March is the month of cruel surprises.
  22. Mark, I’m learning a lot as I watch this thread... at first when I saw you hack up that undercarriage I thought, “what in the world?”, and then saw how nice it came out after you did your thing. I’m new to watching these WIP’s and yours is helping me to see how the process works ... you got to get ugly and just get down to it, and that’s what you do, gradually morphing this thing into an awesome race car. Cool stuff, keep it up!? Those headers look great! ... dash too.
  23. Thanks Trevor ... I’m currently working on a mounting setup for the spare tire. I’ll get the pics of that up later. Seat belts and buckles are also on my list to accomplish by tomorrow evening. Hopefully I can get a couple more things than that done also, but the belts, buckles, and spare tire are the priorities.
