  1. here's the instructions for the Trailmobile Box. it's the same for the c series or L series.. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/big-rigs-trailers--/amt-ford-louisville/
  2. 183.68 MPH?? wow!! looks like something out of Mad Max...
  3. cool, thanks!!
  4. Where did you get those Firestones?? They be awesome!!
  5. This, just announced, seems to be 1/25th? https://aitruckmodels.com/product/ford-w-9000-blue-mule/?mc_cid=e6059455a7&mc_eid=9f73d7b476
  6. I am going to use the Pepsi C600 Box Truck with the long frame. It seems to get closest, but still might need just a smidge of length in the wheelbase. I held the side of the transporter body up to a builtup and it looks good. That particular builtup is now in pieces, or I'd show you. Just may need 1/16" or so more clearance behind the cab.. Hopefully someone has some better insight.
  7. I just picked up a nice rebuilder for 15 bucks. missing a few parts, but nothing I can't find 'er fudge. A stripped body for 50 does sound a bit high, eh? I don't mind a guy making a buck or two, but it would be cool to keep real vintage stuff or good rebuilders together. 99% of the time they will sell for what they should sell for That's been my experience, anyway. On the other hand, it is nice to be able to pick up the oddball 40-50 year old part, without having to buy a 200 dollar kit..
  8. cool! Always liked the lines on that car..
  9. Nicely done! No drama with the later chassis??
  10. Heck, I just noticed this thread was 2.5 years old. Didn't mean to bring up a relic, but I just acquired a 1st ed Mach 1, and am trying to find out everything I can about them. I musta built a half dozen of these when they were new, in the various releases. Now, since I found one I could afford, Round 2 will repop 'em with all the parts in an original art box.. You can thank me later.. lol
  11. I think they are in one of the AMT Monte Carlo kits, Maybe even a recent re-issue??
  12. So Rex, did you ever finish this? How did the later chassis work out?
  13. The Cabover C-600 Ford's from AMT have the Allison too I believe.. Ron Olsen has em on Shapeways, also.. https://www.shapeways.com/product/TDQMH3AAE/allison-1000-x2-1-25?optionId=116368941&li=shops
  14. Geez. I have a hard time gluing a box together and getting it square. Layers and stacks and corners and windows. Cool watching a build like this, though, because we can see how it all goes together. Doesn't mean we can replicate it, but we can see how it's done. Excellent work Tom! Thanks!
  15. Dave, did that begin life as the Warren Tope Mustang?
  16. I wasn't payin' attention when this thread started, now ya got me hooked. I would be very interested in a trans kit, or watchin JC build more of this!. Now I know the MK reissuses are getting harder to find, but I still have a hankerin to build something Fordish from this era...
  17. Could have been used to deliver 25 Gallon Propane/Butane tanks for home use also. awesome project nonetheless.. Be cool if it was restored as a water/service truck/ catering truck for car shows and emergencies.
  18. Nice looking stuff as usual Bill! Where did you source the tires on that Dodge?
  19. great job!! nice vision and execution.. wheels and tires are very cool, any hints where they came from??
