Geez guys, even with "Ill fitting" panels and brittle colored plastic, you all still build em up to be nice looking replicas. Given some of these kits date back almost 60 years, it's nice to have some 1/25 scale stuff to park next to our other 1/25 stuff. Hard to beat the Fujimi's for ease of build, but those old Aurora, IMC, MPC have a lot of character. And they are gonna give me fits in my retirement, as soon as I can decide on which on I wan't to start first. Thanks for posting all these cool models and info..

Great info as always. I agree with you.. Looks like I'll be looking (harder) for a Lindberg Cobra, and a Gunze. Time for someone to make a trans kit for the AMT's... I know the wheelbase is the same, and it would stand to reason the track width would be a bit wider on the coupes due to wider tires. Body width would be wider also, because they weren't "adding on" flares to an existing body, so if you split the difference between the two sides, 1.5 to 2 inches per side doesn't seem like that much, whereas 3 to 4 inches total sounds like a lot.. Flatter sides make for a much more aerodynamic car, so the car would be a bit wider... Right??

Revell or the old AMT 53?? -
I am always watching ebay, etc, for AMT 1/25 Cobras and their derivatives, like the Sunny's etc, and I am always amused when somebody describes them as "rare" in one fashion or another. I don't think this kit has been out of AMT's catalog for one season since it's creation. Sure, it's the pre rack and pinion CSX2000 series, but it, as a kit, still holds up very well. Add to that the IMC Cougar II with the poseable steering, and we as early Cobra fans are really lucky. And Folks like HRM, etc, that have produced and sold trans kits and updates for the old kits, (And folks like afx/JC doing masters, etc) have helped keep it relevant for over 55 years.. Still a fun kit!

Here's a 3/d international in 1/25. I wonder if someone would do the GMC? https://www.shapeways.com/product/4NRRADT25/1-25-scale-cargostar-cab?optionId=62252466&li=user-wishlist -

Really great models. For a kit that's been around this long, (almost SIXTY!! years), it really holds up. and with a couple minor updates, or well thought out transkits (Thanks JC and HRM) they really pop. AND you can still get new issues with little decal or box changes, or even an entire body, like the Sunny. Nicely done AMT!!

cool project. could be one to try and represent in 1/25 using some of the early AMT custom front parts, and the 1/25 67-68 shelby rear bits.. maybe even some lindberg parts. and one of the AMT Mach 1/Superstang/Ironhorse bodies.. That is a nice body!! Good luck with your project!
