  1. So, someone may be reproducing these, but at the moment they are not available? I think there is a golden opportunity here for any of our aftermarket vendors to stick their foot in the proverbial door here, so to speak. Essentially, it is just a print! I don't know if a die cut would also be needed. Someone needs to find a way to make these available any time, not just an occasional auction site sale, and to do so at a reasonable price. Spare us all that corporate "cost and marketing analysis" bunk. It will, however, require a "can do" attitude.
  2. I found this pic a while back; maybe from Albert Wallace? Don't have any other info.
  3. It will soon appear in the new Batman movie "BATMAN- The Geek Years".
  4. What a build! The width of that body reminds me of... Overall, that... is similar to... I'm sure this will be another home run.
  5. Fantastic job, Bob! The build and the decals are perfect.
  6. Stock up? Maybe kits... and some spray paint. Any other supplies I would chalk it up to miscellaneous or entertainment expense, something you would incur weather you build models, or bird feeders. If model building is your #1 vice, well... it's probably cheaper than taking a 24 pack of beer home every night.
  7. You have the right idea. You don't need an airbrush this early on. Spray cans work fine. Shake 'em up good. Each pass should overlap the previous pass about 50%. If you mess up the paint, no problem. Just place it in a small plastic "shoe box" sized tub filled with "Super Clean" or "Westley's Tire White". Use an old tooth brush to scrub it, then wash with unscented dish washing liquid. There are many different tuitorials here on this board. The search feature can find them. Welcome to the board, and good luck.
  8. I won the club raffle yesterday. Grabbed another Ala Kart. That "mini" Red Ram Hemi fits so nice into tight spaces! Chrome reverse set ain't too bad either.
  9. Next best thing? Model Car Garage http://modelcargarage.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=28&idproduct=309
  10. What Plowboy said! That is about as cool as they get!
  11. Umm, nope. Turns out his b-day is on Feb. 30 Happy Creation Day, George!
  12. I always view my screen set to 125%. If u try it, it's down lower right corner. I find it is much easier on these old eyes.
  13. No pic; sorry. IIRC, I have read that the Welly Tahoe is about 1/27 scale, so they may look a bit off sitting next to each other
  14. Hey! Happy Hatch Day to the Big Kahuna! Enjoy your day!
  15. Holy Crappola, Ron! That literally took my breath away! Such an intense white! And the outline blue flames... awesome! And... how did you do those flames? She has the look!
  16. That is nice! Those were originally drawings by Dave Deal, who really had a big influence on me in my youth.
  17. It does? I looked real close. Don't see it.
  18. Marshall- Looks like it may be FF-1 Light Green Poly. Check this link: http://www.mopar1.us/chip/chips.html Scroll down to 1968, the middle of the three charts is Dodge. Others here can help you find that paint in "hobby" quantity for airbrushing, or... it may be available in a custom-made aerosol.
  19. Literally 1/2 of my basement is full of model kits. Some on shelves, many more in storage boxes. Are we hoarders? Oh yessss!!!! At about 1,500 kits, it's a drop in the pan compared to someone I know, who has almost every available inch in his home filled with kits. It must now be up to 10,000+ kits. His only form of marketing these is an automotive flea market, when in season. He could sell them every day, and hardly put a dent in his collection. He is a hoarder, without a doubt. Last I knew, he was also collecting a certain brand of stereo speakers, as well as leather Harley jackets.
  20. Not yet. But I do plan on it soon... in fact, I have several of my former cars available in scale. My first... a '63 Nova, straight six, photo apparently taken with a cheap camera, in low light.
  21. Yeah, Zoli! That is one different paint & graphic scheme! Nice build!
  22. Thanks. I don’t build too often it seems. I have this one… a Ford GT-40 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19598&st=0&p=172617&hl=ford&fromsearch=1&#entry172617 And the ’40 Ford… http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9449&st=0&p=67989&hl=ford&fromsearch=1&#entry67989 I have more built, just no how-to’s. And lots of stalled projects! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37341&st=40&p=385434&hl=mustang&fromsearch=1&#entry385434
