Others here can help you find that paint in "hobby" quantity for airbrushing, or... it may be available in a custom-made aerosol.

Literally 1/2 of my basement is full of model kits. Some on shelves, many more in storage boxes. Are we hoarders? Oh yessss!!!! At about 1,500 kits, it's a drop in the pan compared to someone I know, who has almost every available inch in his home filled with kits. It must now be up to 10,000+ kits. His only form of marketing these is an automotive flea market, when in season. He could sell them every day, and hardly put a dent in his collection. He is a hoarder, without a doubt. Last I knew, he was also collecting a certain brand of stereo speakers, as well as leather Harley jackets.

Not yet. But I do plan on it soon... in fact, I have several of my former cars available in scale. My first... a '63 Nova, straight six, photo apparently taken with a cheap camera, in low light.

Minor FAIL. One of the pivot housings on my scratched trailing arms fell apart. So that means new t-arms will be made, except this time, each one will be one-piece. Also, this stuff doesn't come naturally to me. So, I need to learn as I go. That can lead to errors. If you look at the earlier photos, the rear axle is free to rotate on its axis. Big FAIL. My new rear suspension will now have 4 t-arms. I still need to build my rear coil-over shocks. Plus I will need a rear Panard (Panhard? sp?) bar. So far, everything back there will be functionally free to move. Lets see if I can do likewise with the coils and Panard. At first, I though I would only replace the failing 2 trailing arms: Here, I have fab'd 4 new t-arms, and added a second set of mounts to the crossmember. Odd how I had originally made my rear axle t-arm mounts large enough to use 4 arms. I did that right... by coincidence! Below is the back side of the crossmember, which will be near the front of the truck bed. I don't want any more parts breaking off, so those U-brackets to mount the t-arms are not just epoxied, they were also drilled & pinned. For appearance, I will cut some hex nuts and add to the pins before those also get trimmed down to length. I am really winging it here. If I had better knowledge of suspension design, I could have avoided a few mistakes. I hope I am not boring anyone with all this. My goal is, maybe by writing all this out; it may help me to remember, thus avoiding a repeat. Well, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

In the 1:1 hobby, those are the kinda guys who should stay in the garage. I have seen that behavior, it is annoying. At a car show a few years back, I was gawking at a Ford GT-40. The rear bonnet was up. I think it was the first time I had seen one in person, and was completely smitten. I handed my camera to the wife, and said "Take my picture with this!!!" So I knelt down by the rear tire, and... the jerk who owned it, completely oblivious to me and wrapped up in his own conversation / ego gush with another person. I guess he wanted to either look at, or show something in the engine to the other guy. Completely ignoring me, he walks right into my "photo zone", just as my wife takes the pic! Arrrgh! And he stayed there! It was about... 140 degrees in the shade that day; my head was already spinning. I have bad knees, and my wife needed to give me a hand to get back up. Still totally oblivious to me. But hey... it was his car. And he can enjoy it 24/7. I just wish he would have let me have my moment. Point is, that callousness is everywhere. We live in a "Me! Me! Me!" age; the h e c k with everyone else.
