Great how-to tip. I remember a lot of street cars running slappers, or traction bars. Gave it that "all business" look.

Thanks. I used DupliColor Medium Red Pearl, a Toyota color. The 1:1 truck is not a bright red. May be metallic. Then it was cleared, same brand, then wet sanded. No clear over the decals.

Hobbico - BANKRUPT!
Jon Cole replied to niteowl7710's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
So essentially, two days after we were lead to believe a statement would be forthcoming, nothing? Really? I sure hope someone has some insight. I wouldn't even know what to search for. -
Ha! And watch the standard bearers of stock car racing blow their tops! Funny how in Indy Car the fans had a cow when Dodge didn't have the then new Viper ready to pace, and wanted to replace it with a Mitsu. Now, Nascar is running Toyota. And the names on the Nascar front bumper area really seem pointless, as someone previously noted. It is boring. Follow Nascar year after year, as we did, and it starts to get ho-hum. Lets try shorter races with real, actual factory based cars that are prepped for track. And the paperclip oval "AND HE'S GOING DOWN THE BACKSTRETCH! I WONDER WHICH WAY HE'LL GO NEXT???!" round 'n round is... blah. They do road courses. They require a special built car. So why not include a dirt track, too? Oval, or road. Build a dirt track car. And enough of the rolling billboard BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. Not... gonna... happen.

I suspect that is a hand made sculpt from FIMO or Sculpty.

Where did that Li'l Coffin come from ?
Jon Cole replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The top looks structurally weak. One good bump in the road would create enough flex, the windshield may blow out. Assuming they are making contact. -

What did you see on the road today?

I often drive through a small town that frequently has a beautiful Packard parked in the center of town. -

I bought several of these just to have the wheels & tires on hand. Then we had to move into smaller place, so they all got sold off. Hope they become available again. -

I was going to try...

I don't know if you're viewing from a phone, but it's much better viewed from an actual computer, laptop, or tablet. Do you have a word program? Something like Microsoft Office? At the very least, you could copy (hit "Ctrl", plus "C" simultaneously) the URL bar at top of page, then... Open a Word program page, hit "Ctrl", plus "V" on that page. Now save the page with a name, such as "URL" When you want to find it, go to that page, and click. Of course, even better would be to just put an icon of our front page on your desktop. Someone else will have to explain that. So, what is your situation? Hope we can help. -
Finally done! Bought this kit back in July. That's downright quick by my standards! LoL! Figure by Jimmy Flintstone. I painted helmet.

When I think of what a completed model on the box looks like, it reminds me of the atrocious AMT box art around the late 90's to early 2000's. Remember the "Millennium Series"? Bland. Real bland. Good box art sells.
