  1. You spared me from hunting for a similar photo. These fake ragtops are the bane of post war rolling living rooms, and my #1 automotive peeve.
  2. Maybe he is fishing for fools. I believe it was P.T. Barnum that said "There is a sucker born every minute". Quote source not verified.
  3. Right on, Snake. I always plow my way past the chaff.
  4. Yeah, it opens. But that doesn't excuse the sloppy black edge. Looks like someone went around the engine bay with a big paintbrush.
  5. Did anyone else notice... the sloppy black trimming around the hood? What's up with that?
  6. Way sharp!
  7. Sooner or later, everything looks like something else.
  8. NISSAN GT-R. The 2019 model lists at $99,990 according to Google. Why someone did that to the car shown, is beyond me.
  9. I'm surprised people are using what I believe is petroleum based glues like MM cement. Get that on the clear window, and your window is trash. I prefer 2 part epoxy. Should any excess epoxy squeeze out around the edges, just wait for it to reach a semi-cured state, then use a toothpick to gently roll it up like it was rubber cement. Also try covering the open areas of your window with Post-It note, cut to shape. Both sides. If you get some glue on your finger, it's not the end of the world. Greg, good tip on that .020 poly. Thanks.
  10. I'm holding out for the Coca-Cola© Starship Enterprise. ツ
  11. Visited a hobby shop today, just to buy supplies. When I saw these, I had to have them.
  12. She's so fine, I had to wait in line... to post how sharp she is! Great job!
  13. That's way impressive!
  14. You also have as an option, contacting them on their Facebook page via Messenger. Well, that's assuming that today's Facebook outage gets fixed soon. "It's always something, ya know?!"
  15. You just started building models in March (2018)? Are you familiar with the differences in working with resin, vs. styrene?
  16. I dullcoat BMF to get my own matte aluminum. I have also scuffed BMF for effect. For black BMF, just spray flat or semi-gloss right on the sheet. Works great.
  17. I'm not near the Pa. border, but I do see frequently on Facebook, posts from Sayre Hobby Shop. Check them out on Fb.
  18. All sorts of ideas. Different colors... different wheels...
  19. Absolutely stunning. A true masterpiece. Also makes me sad that Harry isn't here with us any longer. He would have appreciated this, I think.
  20. Hopefully grinding out plastic won't be such a tedious chore anymore.
  21. Thank you all for your suggestions! I may try the Tamiya smoke on clear spoons.
  22. Bump. Is this available stateside?
  23. I need some model car windows tinted dark, and I am considering buying a roll of window tint. The model has no compound curves, so that shouldn't be an issue. Also, does the raw plastic makers such as Evergreen, Plastruct, etc. offer dark smoke tint clear sheet plastic?
  24. That reminds me of a Chevy dealership, parked out front under one of those multi-colored pennant flag banners strung overhead. Looks sooo fine!
