Looking good so far. The AMT 55 Chevy Bel Air has a set of centerline wheels in it.

Rustoleum Bright Coat Chrome
bluestringer replied to Plasticated Guy's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I use it and like it, no problems with it rubbing off or flaking. But to me it looks more like bright aluminum than chrome. -

Thank you. Thanks Bob. Thanks. Thanks Mike. Thank you David. -
I enjoyed this build and think it came out ok. The 6.2L engine is from a 2017 Camaro. Also from the Camaro are the wheels and tires, the exhaust system, the bucket seats and console. The paint is Tamiya XF56 Metallic Grey, with X22 clear. I tried lowering it a little by moving the axles up on the springs, it did not lower it much but I like the way it looks. I had to do some cutting on the Camaro interior to get it to fit, also had to cut some on the firewall for the engine to sit right. The Camaro radiator and other bits fit ok under the hood. I eliminated the rear bumper and made a panel to fit. I was going to install tail lights in the panel but decided I liked the stock lights better. I know the rear view mirror is missing, I'll install it as soon as I find it, or find a replacement. All comments welcome, and thanks for looking.

I straighten the clip, then cut around one time in the middle. You can then get your fingernail behind it and pull it off one side then the other.

Coming along slowly. Need to finish up the interior, get the glass in and a few more bits installed. -

Sounds like it may be scrapbook paper. It comes in many different colors and patterns. -

Finally got the metallic grey on the body after messing it up the first time. I'll get some clear on it in a few days. -
Only 3 kits at my local Ollies, 35 miles away. I got this one, was not interested in the other 2. I was looking for this one and the 57 Chevy Nomad others had found, but no go on that one.

Going with Tamiya XF56 metallic grey, I think it will look good once I get the clear on it. I messed up the body so it's in the purple pond, I'll redo it.
