Nice work on the interior. Door panels and seats in particular look awesome. The dash isn't too bad either. Your attention to detail will really pay off in the end. -

Hi Francis. 4 years in the making. Wow. Keep in mind that this is literally hundreds of precisely built models of various components all rolled together into one so don't beat yourself up for taking a while to build 1 model. This is so much more than just 1 model. -

HI Francis. My thoughts are with you and your family. -
I like the style side, a "Buick Cameo". Your choice of a top looks good.

You cant miss a detail if you want a 1/8 model to look right. Yours looks perfect in all aspects. Well done.

Hi Gregg. Nice work so far! Wheels are awesome, I like the radiator and heater core upgrades as well as the drive train upgrade. The way you hang the exhaust is very clever. The Yenko big block is one of my favorite engines. It is very nicely detailed and seems to be in scale. I really like the way you are taking the time to correct the out of scale issues this kit seems to have. I am glad you decided to share this build with us. I will keep watching. -

Hi Anton. Thank you so much for looking and commenting. I tried to capture the essence of each feature of the 1:1 truck in this build. I am happy to hear that you feel like I have done that to the engine. -

HI Tim. Thanks for checking in. Final assembly is always a bit nerve racking for me. Things are falling together OK. -

Hi Francis. Thanks for the compliment. I like to do something a little unique on my projects. In this case the functioning hood was that thing. -

Hi Francis. The grille and headlights are perfect. I agree with every one else about this thread. It has been truly amazing and I will miss the updates. But I am also happy for you that it is coming together perfectly. Let us all know where you will be showing this project. I for one will try to go see it. Thanks again for following along on my thread. It has meant a lot to me that you have shown so much interest in my project. Anxious to see your next project (next fall I assume). -

Installed the hood. The hinges I designed actually work. (I showed them in detail way early in this thread) I just need to pull some of the model apart, clean up a few items, add bumpers and a better grill and I think it will be done. -

Hey Francis. thanks for checking in. I just got the hood installed and my hinges actually work! I am posting a few pics of the hood "in action". (2 things worried me on this build. Would the aluminum trim around all the windows look ok after paint and polish, and would the hood hinges actually work. I am satisfied with both items.) -

A/C and heater lines installed. Exhaust and master cylinder installed. Exhaust is polished solder wire. -
Hi Tim. Thank you for the kind words. Several threads (yours included) that I see in this forum have inspired me to pick up the glue and sand paper again. I have a current thread in the "WIP pickups and SUV's" section titled "DeFoosing the FD100". I would be honored if you took a look and let me know what you think. Ron B.

Sorry for the late response to this 18 month old attachment to this thread. I didn't know how to respond to individual comments . Thanks for looking and commenting back then. I have made a bit of progress on this build and hope to be at at the Heartland Nationals next month with it. I see you are from somewhere in Kansas so If you are also there we can talk F100's for a while. -
Looks good to me. I would love to get a good 72 Montego body, bumpers and grille so I can replicate the one I owned.

Nice collection of models! The interior of the Chevelle looks fantastic. I probably have the mirror you are looking for in my carpet along with a host of other items.

Hi Francis. thanks for checking in. Those coil overs are modified RD Unique coil overs. If you aren't familiar with RD Unique, they made a variety of fairly nice street rod components cast in a soft metal that polishes up similar to what you can do with aluminum. RD Unique was around 20 years ago. (The disk brakes I used are also metal casted by RD Unique). As you know, if it's made out of metal, it really looks like metal. (My photography skills aren't very good so the pictures don't do justice to the aluminum and metal cast items I have used on this project.) Thanks again for checking up on me. Your interest in my project has been very motivating!
