  1. Thanx I thought there was a couple of mustangs for those years. just didn't come across them on my quick search on the web.
  2. VaaRooooooooooooooooooom - VaaRooooooooooooooooooooooooom!!!
  3. The main theme for next years NNL West (January 28th) is "777" - any model of a car built in the year ending with a "7", i.e. 1907, 1917, 1927, 1937, 1947, 1957, 1967, etc... I was able to locate model cars in most of the years listed with the exception of 1907, 1917, 1997 and 2007. Does anyone know if any model cars exist covering these years? Just want to see what options are out there. thanx
  4. Very Nice Model Mr. Laski what's next...?
  5. I will be returning again, hopefully with Mr. Raul Perez and Mr. Bernard Kron in tow! Also have a model of a '50 Phantom Fleetside to drop of at Kingdigit Designs. Plus, will have built a "Clone" of Al Gaby's Golden Rod for the museum. c'ya

  7. Thanx for comments, I reshot a few photos last night...
  8. It's one of the tanks Norm has at Replica's & Miniatures of Maryland. thanx
  9. Found this kit at Oakie Al's Model Car show and swap meet a few months ago in Merced, CA. It was beat up fairly bad and a total glue bomb! After close examination, I realized it would build up into a nice Rat Rod. One of the themes for the 2016 NNL West was "Rat Rods". So I chopped the top, "Z-ed" the chassis and channeled the cab. The engine is from the kit, added plug wires and a couple of "Funny Car" headers. Replicas & Miniatures provided the fuel tank. Engine block and goodies are from the "Parts Box". Paint is Rustoleum Apple Green, covered with Testers Dullcoat and lots of Rustall. Fender flaps are from Model Car Garage. Decals are from my buddy Steve Allemand. Dang these pictures are "suckie...", will redo them and repost. thanx
  10. I was able to complete the car for the NNL West, just got back from the Desert Classic in Phoenix. Thought I should post photos of the finished Lincoln. Thank you for your comments, etc.
  11. I think I mentioned earlier I would be attending, but cannot remember if I did. Did I? If not I be there, getting ready to leave NoCal Friday morning.
  12. The Barns & Noble in Gilroy, CA had 10 copies of Issue #200, now they got 9! Picked one up for my buddy Steve. Got mine in the mail last week...
  13. Nice Nail Polish... I wish I had a dollar for everytime I've painted my left hand! oh yeah - love the car
  14. John I liked your idea, but got scared...and the windshield glass from the '53 Ford was almost a perfect fit. So I stayed with the R&R Resin body thanx
  15. Thank you for the positive responses on this model. I was able to squeeze in some time to finish a few things on the Lincoln. First I had to tackle the bumpers, very key parts to make this model come to life. I made resin copies of the 1953 front and rear bumpers. I added the red resin taillights to the rear bumper. Here is the completed '54 rear bumper (right) next to the '53 bumper (left). The Chrome finish is provided by Alclad. Also here is the completed '54 front bumper (right) next to the '53 bumper (left). Next was modifying the '53 Ford chassis to fit the resin body of the lincoln. The body, chassis, hood and dash primed and ready for paint. The body and hood painted ready for some bare-metal foil work. The foil work is done... Wheels and tires painted and mounted. Now onto finishing the interior, engine and decals... c'ya
  16. This is going to be a 1/25th scale model of the 1954 Lincoln Capri Ray Crawford raced in the 1954 Carrera Panamericana. Ray along with co-piloto Enrique finished 1st in the Stock Car Class. R&R Resins (no longer in exists) produced a resin curbside model of both the 1953 and 1954 Lincoln Capri. I was not able to locate the 1954 kit but was able to find a 1953 kit. No big deal, how much difference is there really! Definitely found out the difference when the kit arrived, more on that later. Instead of doing just a curbside of Ray's Lincoln, I decided add chassis and driveline detail to the model. I used the Lindberg 1953 Ford Victoria kit for the chassis, wheels and tires and the Monogram '57 Ford Del Rio Ranch Wagon kit for the engine. I found a set of decals for the car from "Platto's Place" and my buddy Steve filled in with a couple of extra decals. Now on to the difference between a 1953 and 1954 Lincoln Capri. The chrome trim on the sides and the front and rear bumpers are completely different. I removed the hood, firewall and chassis side panels from the resin body. To be replaced with the same parts from the 1953 Ford. Also removed the '53 trim from the body. After removing the '53 trim from the body, I used really small half-round plastic strip for the '54 trim. More to come...the NNL West is calling!
  17. Beautiful... Lookin' forward to seeing it and yourself on the 12th
  18. Thanx Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland wheels and tires for Mustang GT350
  19. Staying with the TransAm 50th Anniversary theme for this years NNL West, I threw this together. It's a model of the 19966 Ford Mustang John McComb and Brad Brooker drove in the inaugural 1966 SCCA Trans Am Series. They won the the 6th race of the year at Green Valley Raceway in Smithfield, Texas. Also finished 4th in the final race of the year at Riverside Raceway in California. thanx for lookin'
