  4. Art, the Tony A-Z car won't make it to the NNL West. I gave the car to Tony in August at the historic auto races at Laguna Seca.
  5. Thanx for the update. I tried to get it close using the Studio27 decals, not a lot of photos available at the time I built the model. I no longer have the model, sold it on eBay awhile back. Beautiful car...

  7. Excellent work, Art!!! looking forward to seeing this at the NNL West in March. having fun with the lathe, heh!
  8. Thanx Yes, you can build the model without the wood trim. This kit offers the modeler many options for building.
  9. Thanx The visor is included in the kit
  10. Went by the Local Hobby Shop and spotted the 1/25th scale Galaxie Limited 1947 Chevrolet Country Club Aerosedan plastic model kit. The image of the Hot Rod version on the box top caught my fancy, so I bought the kit (it isn''t cheap! - $41.00+). This is my first experience of building one of the Galaxie Limited plastic model kits. I was very pleased with the detail in the kit and how little cleanup was needed. The parts also fit quite well. I built the model fairly true to "Box Stock" with a few variations. I threw in some plug wires and fuel lines, plus replaced the tires. The tires in the kit just seemed to be too small for the look I wanted. Here's a few photos of the built model: thanx for looking'

  17. Krylon still makes this paint...my favorite as well. It looks like this now:
  18. I had a gentleman send me this kit to build for him. My first adventure into the world of Revell's 1/12th scale models. The body comes pre-painted, but that would not last long. The body sections in the kit do not match the real car. This involved stripping the paint and join the body panels, fill the seams and primer the whole thing. Luckily the cockpit fit in the body after painting. Also the rear engine bonnet did not fit very well. It took a little bit of filing and fitting to get it close to fit properly. The faint of heart will best advised to stay clear of this kit. Please note the Marlboro decals and seat belts are aftermarket items. Here are photos of the kit and the finished model. Thanx for lookin'...
  19. I'll be coming down to join in the fun. Model cars, golf and seeing mom...perfect way to spend a few April days in Arizona
  20. Hey Buddy This is gonna be fun. I picked up this model recently, don't know why...but had a hankering to build one. I liked the channeled version, but it sure didn't looked "channeled" plus the instructions (I know) are a wee bit confusing. Enjoying the input so far, hope to build one of these soon c'ya
