Old ‘57 Chevy build with paint work by my dad.
happy grumpy replied to atomicholiday's topic in Model Cars
Just my opinion but as Bob mentioned, I would leave it as is , it has a special connection with you and your dad. You could build your own version of the same kit and put them side by side. Ultimatly though, it will be up to you. -
Beautiful bunch, that wrecker looks fantastic, so does the background.

1955 Chevy Cameo Goofy Pickup
happy grumpy replied to Zippi's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
That sure is a one of a kind chevy. The bright red really shines. Great way to re purpose parts. -
The first photo is what inspired me to finish this build. I put this kit back in the shelve I don't know how many times. After seeing that photo I knew that's how I wanted to do this model. There is an artistic beauty to an old car left in a field or desert all by itself, cooking in the sun . I did remove the fabric top and the floor. I had a few good photos of a bare metal Ford so I did my best to replicate that. I even put a few bullet holes for good measure. As always, thanks for looking.

One of the most beautiful firebird body style. You did a fine job on this . White stripes on blue, can't go wrong with that.

Great job on the impala. The interior looks great in this color. The white top adds a nice contrast to the body.

Thanks Rich. I used the kit decals, somehow my shaky hands managed to behave so I was able to install them almost perfect. The kit decals are easy to position , they slide very easy they are resistant. Thank you everyone for the kind words. As I said before , I get a lot of inspiration by the beautiful builds on this forum.
