My '77 Westfalia WV bus was the worst and the best at the same time. The Worst whenever you had to drive it but the best when it was parked. The fuel injection system never worked right. I put new injectors, plugs, and ignition wires. Took it to 2 different Volkswagen specialists. Nothing. They both told me it was the brain. Which was the electronic box that controlled the fuel injection system, and it would cost a fortune to replace it, So I sold it to some Deadhead for $800. Looking back, it was a big mistake. All my friends seemed to like it though until they had to drive it. It seemed like I was the only one that knew how to keep it running.

Are you supposed to dance to Steely Dan?
Mike C. replied to JollySipper's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I stopped dancing when I first got in a band. I thought I was too cool for that. ?? -

I still haven't finished my T/A Challenger. It's already painted in that FJ5 green. Now I need to apply the decals, Paint the engine and detail the Rallyes before I put them on.

What did you see on the road today?
Mike C. replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I like those colors on that one. My friends dad had that same one when we were growing up but it was all in that blue. The family had a pluming/heating business and they were doing pretty good so hid dad ordered it from Ford. It was an F-250 4x4 with all the gingerbread. I have never seen one so loaded. The next time I talk to him I'll have to remember to ask him what became of that truck. The whole family would always hand all of there vehicles down to the next one in the family, so I'm wondering if one of his brothers got it. I even ended up getting their '72 4 door, slant 6 Valiant. Our family's were pretty close. People were like that back then. -

If you are looking for the version that is molded in metalflake purple, I have a sealed kit to trade. Great job! You seemed to have gotten the metalflake right on the money and the wiring/plumbing job is spot on. Reminds me of one I used to zip around in in the summer of '88 around the beach town of Avalon NJ. I also like the Cragars with the redlines on the front. That look always reminded me of the old Hot wheels I grew up with.

Yeah. Those ship models blow me away. I remember an old episode of this show called Strange Inheritance where a guy out of (I think it was down south somewhere) died and left his kids a collection of ships that he had completely scratch built. The kids eventually found a museum of sold them off or something like that. The only ship that I can recall was one of those old weird looking iron ones from the revolutionary war.
