When did it become so difficult to either stay on topic or simply not type anything if you don't have anything to add to the conversation regarding the model kit being discussed? There's nothing funny about either comment.

1/25 AMT PP023 - Big Rig Semi Tractor & Trailer Tires
Casey replied to Casey's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I believe they are cleaned up versions of the same tires they've included since '72 or so. I suspect they are intended to be used as replacements for older dried, hardened, or paint covered tires, or to replace the two-piece tires AMT included in the late '70s. -

Flat black vs Flat black primer, any difference?
Casey replied to Speedfreak's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yes -
I would say there's a good chance, especially if the '65 Chevelle and '66 Impala sell out. The '66 Buick, '64 Galaxie, '69 Falcon, and '65 Olds appear to have been reissued twice-- first by Ertl in 1999, then again by RC2 in 2006. Nice pic of the '64 Ford Galaxie Mod Stocker kit's parts and decal sheet:

You're both right, it does. Looks like there's an insert for the rear spoiler only, so only one can be included per kit.

Thanks, Tim. I found the (an?) issue containing the mail away offer on page 19. Was this the article you mentioned?:
-
I wish Round2 would have created the three-piece rear spoiler, too, but maybe there just wasn't room for it.

The fender mounted nameplates/emblems are not molded with the body, but I suspect the new grille will have the Z28 emblem molded as one with the grille.

Is this foddball chrome plated steel wheel a 13" diameter wheel, seen at the extreme lower right in the image below? 1970 issue of same(?) steel wheel for comparison:

It's been announced on several sites that the '29 roadster has a tentative reissue date of 2020. I have yet to see any site or source state the '30 is coming back in 2020. Not sure what you require for "solid info", but I would expect Revell is eager to get both the newish 1/25 '29 and '30 kits back into the marketplace.

'74 Vega Bruce Larson USA-1_FYI Reissue Update
Casey replied to 69NovaYenko's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Is the plan still to release the Bruce Larson U.S.A. 1 '74+ version first, then (my presumption here) a '71/'72 version of the USA-1 or Grumpy Jenkins car? Or a late Grumpy car? Maybe eventually all four? The newly-tooled hood scoop pieces seem to jibe with the real low snorkel-style parts on Larson's early Vega: I'm guessing this was an earlier style hood scoop?: A new low-profile Grump Lump would be needed for the early Grumpy Jenkins car: Well, Round2 will definitely have plenty of options to choose from: I hope they eliminate the "stepped" wheel the Twister Vega currently has. While I think they were used on at least one real car, Cragar Super Trick wheel were certainly the go-to wheel of choice by '73 or '74 for Pro Stock cars. -

Tim Boyd's pictures of several AMT ghost kits-- Garwood Refuse Hauler, Porsche 911, bottom dump grain hauler trailer-- can be viewed here: https://public.fotki.com/funman1712/model-car-events-co/a-heretofore-unknow/a-heretofore-unknow/?view=roll#1 It's not hyperbole to say it's amazing these wood masters have survived all these years, so thanks to Tim Boyd and Tim Rice (the master maker and person who saved everything) for doing what they did to preserve this slice of automotive model history.

It's large, but not 68' long large. Does anyone recognize which magazine this ad appeared inside? Maybe the page number 19 font looks familiar? This. 1) Run the promos first in all the colors you wish. Nobody is going to want a '68 promo when the '69s start hitting dealership in late '68 anyway, so it's one and done 2) Clean up the screw mount areas, "open" the hood area, remove the engine plate/insert, re-insert the full engine parts, etc., and mold the Hardtop version 3) Change the body sections to run the convertible Below is the underside of a '68 Coronet promo, showing how similar it is to the "full" kit:
