  1. Same basic engine parts as found in the AMT '33 Willys kit?
  2. Ah, that's where I screwed up. I did recall they are bare plastic, and not chrome plated, but assumed those I saw were the wheel back halves. Thank you for the confirmation...I have some correcting to do.
  3. Ertl era AMT box art didn't fare much better. This box art style was a good predictor of the Holodeck on Star Trek: The Next Generation, though: And look, the ubiquitous exploding Ertl 'speech bubble', too!! GREAT idea!!!
  4. That box art. Round2 must have a good reason for never releasing at least one of these kits in the Original Art series with the cartoon box art. Maybe for the next go 'round for one of them, as they've all been reissued at least once by Round2.
  5. Here are the engine parts, courtesy of an eBay listing:
  6. Pure gold. I was surprised to see how well the real Camry was selling in the current sales climate, but this kit makes plenty of sense in light of that demand. What, exactly, is that side window material? It looks hazy and not at all clear, but maybe that's just the image?
  7. I guess we'll have to wait and see. The rear windows (with cross-hatch screen(?) detail) are prominently shown on the box art, but that's no guarantee of anything. It would be a nice surprise to see the rear doors revert to the molded-open-windows state, but I don't know if that'll happen. I don't think they will be. The rear door window openings appear to have last been 'open' when the upper quarter panels were still handled with inserts, so I don't expect ant changes from the last issue, body-wise. I expect two decals will be included to represent the rear windows this time around. Here's an original issue Police Van body, on which you can see the openings:
  8. They are very similar, and all (if we're counting Revell's '64, '65, and '66 as three distinct kits) very good kits, with no major issues. I'm sure people will be parting out or trading off the balance of the AMT '60 Fleetside kit after they remove the go-kart, so you likely will not need to pay for a full kit if you're only after the engine. Same for a second bed from Revell's '64 or '66 kits.
  9. Are you asking if separate, clear rear door windows will be included, or if the body shell itself will have the rear door window openings molded open?
  10. Steve, did you ever get a confirmation regarding which specific kit included these bare (i.e., no center cap nor trim ring) Chevy Rally wheels? *edit* See below-- MPC Corvette Open Roadster kit
  11. I hope Sean Svendsen doesn't mind me sharing these in-progress pics he shared on facebook:

  13. Just some pics from an ebay listing, but it's a bit of a shame this kit is the end of the line for the 1/25 MPC Pontiac Grand Prix tooling. Not sure if this could ever be backdated to the last stock type issue or not, but I doubt it. Looking back at MPC's 1970 Grand Prix, the faux front fender exiting exhaust was already present, as an optional feature: The Grand Superfly's successor, the Sweat Hogs 'Dream Machine' modified reissue from 1976:
  14. Is seat #13, the black seat shown below, from the MPC Carl Casper Cosmic Charger (and the other 'sibling' kits which share many parts)? Nope, not from that/those kits. The yellow seat below is from the AMT Sandkat/Piranha Dragster kits:
  15. Perfect, Ron, thank you.
  16. Can someone who has the reissue take and post a picture of the bucket seats, please?
  17. I agree, thanks. Looks like the MPC 'Screaming Eagle' GTO Pro Sock kit included yet another bucket seat, too:
  18. Here it is on the instruction sheet: Not sure where these came from, either, so I'll add them as #24...low back with no headrests, so pre-1970 or so, AMT or MPC?:
