  1. How about a Goodyear x.75 x 15(?) Safety All Weather Tire? Any idea which kit this might have come from? One of the Ertl ariculture kits, maybe? I do have to Goodyear Implement tires from the Ertl John Deere plow kit, so maybe not.
  2. The only '82-'85 Celica kit I'm aware of is the recent Aoshima/Beemax '85 coupe rally car. All of the '82-'85 Toyota liftbacks have been Supras, or Celica XXs, so they all have the longer nose and wheelbase. The MPC Supra would be a good reissue candidate, though.
  3. I've wonder why Revell decided to tool up all-new (or are they shared with (an)other kit(s)?) vinyl tires for this kit, but the reissued Green Hornet kit got styrene tires molded in halves, as did the reissued Monogram Slingshot (and Long John, too?). The Black Widow appears to use the same big and little tires found in the original Monogram Model A hot rod kits, too, so maybe that specific tire mold(s) was lost or damaged over the years.
  4. Except when the decals are curled up, yellowed, and too brittle to use...or when a tire has permanently bonded itself to a styrene part... I do agree for the most part with your sentiment, though, Gaute, and try to buy original or older issues when possible. While I'm looking forward to seeing the Moebius Chevy II in its final form, I can't help but feel Round2 will have either the Rat Packer and Boss Nova kit cued up and ready to reissue a few months before the Moebius Chevy II. Maybe not exactly and apples-to-apples comparison based on the non-stock, well, almost everything in the two AMT kits, but the Rat Packer and Moebius "gasser" are pretty darn close to one another in flavor.
  5. Just a 1/8 scale 3'n1 '55 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop - Stock, Drag, and Street Machine: Side trim be danged on this option:
  6. Has anyone used or at least mocked up the Revell Cadillac Lowrider Coupe kit with the spoked wheels from the '80s issue Monogram 1/24 '32 Ford Roadster kit? IIRC the Goodyear GT Radial tires in the Monogram kit are 14", so the wheel could pass for 15" on the 1/25 scale Cadillac kit. Maybe they don't have enough spokes to pass the eye test, though? I can't think of any other bi-scale kits with full spokes that are "modern" enough to pass for stock on an '80s/'90s Cadillac.
  7. The JO-HAN '63 Plymouth kit Stu mentioned has them, or very close to them. Mike, which kit are those wheels from? I can't recall any other 1/25 scale kits which included the Lemans wheels, though.
  8. As Stu confirmed, they American Racing Lemans wheels, also found in the Monogram Big Deuce kit.
  9. Make sure you get a mask with removable cartridges...the 3M brand pictured has both pre-filters and charcoal filters, so they are great and only about $35 at Home Depot, etc. I have used them for years while spraying oil-based enamels, pre-catalyzed lacquers, etc., and they work great. Once you start to smell the fumes with the mask on correctly, it's time to change the filters. be gentle with the clear, snap-on pre-filter covers, too, as they cannot (or at least could not a few years ago) be purchased separately...one drop, and *crack*
  10. Looks like the whole shebang was moved left to fit in the explosive bubble of information. They could've shrunk the "Ford Coupe" a bit, too, so it wasn't hidden by the model, eh?
  11. That's the key-- to edit your post promptly after something you are looking for has been found, or to PM Mike or Dave asking them to delete your post entirely. Even worse are the "LONG SHOT!..." requests. One of these days, someone will actually be looking for this...
  12. Sparks? Sparks.

  14. A one-sided conversation is never ideal, but it's better than none at all. Having been through this a few times and trying to mediate when I was a mod here, I can state with a high degree of confidence continuing to provoke someone, either publicly or privately (or both ), who is not responding to, but is reading, your messages, does not help. I can't ever recall a scammer here reading messages after they've been accused of such activity. They almost always disappear and never log in again. There's nothing better you can do at this point but wait and hope the trader follows through on the deal.
  15. It is a wood kit, which you were supposed to carve, sand, and work to make it look like what was on the box top. Why it was posted in a topic discussing terrible box art, especially when the Ace Club Coupe's box art is quite lovely, is puzzling at best.
  16. I'll take an Explorer instead, please.
  17. I had to check to make sure it made it through the transition.
  18. I swear somebody mentioned the Deora in an earlier post, but it had both a more typical cap and a very funky camper included in various reissues: Revell's Toyota 4x4 with G-T Spoiler Top Snap Together kit, too:
