  1. That's the chrome air cleaner from the subject 1/24 Monogram '32 Ford roadster kit being discussed. Gorgeous paint work, Tulio.
  2. I could probably find one or two packages, or at the very least look for some N.O.S. packages if you still need it. If you PM me with how many you are hoping to find, please.
  3. Yes...it was released 5-1/2 years ago, but still plenty of them available, even direct from Round2: http://www.autoworldstore.com/product_p/amt780.htm
  4. Yes, more or less. The Boss A Bone kit included some specific parts which were unique to that kit, and as far as I have found, never used in any subsequent kits...I think. Look at the chrome plated parts from the BAB: The American Torq-Thrust style wheels have a flat rear face, with no axle mounting stud, making them very similar to (but I don't think quite the same as) those found in the Monogram Rat Vega kit: At least the Blue Bandito now includes the chrome plated roll bar hoop which was last seen in the Boss A Bone kit. Maybe I shouldn't assume the recreated hoop is the same as the original, though?
  5. For reference, the wheels and tires from the '89(?) reissue of the Orange Hauler: The 5-spoke American Torq-Thrust style rear wheels in both the Lil Coffin and Boot Hill Express are slightly different, with the BHE wheels having a taller, integral center/grease cap and the LC's wheels (both front and rear are American TTs on the LC) having a separate, five-eared center/grease cap:
  6. I may have found them there in previous years, or possibly from parts bags purchased at the Waukesha show in Decemeber...or maybe from eBay. I've had them in my wheel parts bin for a while, then stumbled across an article (here: http://kustomkingdom.blogspot.com/2014/10/32-ford-sedan-amt-trophy-series.html ) about the Sedan and the dimly lit light bulb grew a bit brighter. I did buy the box at ME last Sunday, as I enjoy the artwork more than what's inside. I won't ever seriously build the Sedan, but another member is looking for the seats if you care to part with yours: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/127059-amt-32-ford-sedan-front-seats/
  7. Next up, this molded-in-white Corvette hood. *edit: MPC '67 Corvette*
  8. Three parts found, many more to go.
  9. Those rainbow graphics and the strobe effect "4X4" on the hood bulge really made an impression upon a certain 8 year old.
  10. Then you "get" it. See below quoted post.
  11. Seems like a Baja(!) version was pretty hokey back in '73, and wouldn't hold up any better by the time 2018 rolls around. I guess it was a good excuse for MPC to maximize their usage of the Goodyear Suburbanite tires, but who's taking their '73 Road Runner off-road??
  12. edit...NVM, looking for 18"
  13. *bows* '63 Buick Electra 225 Convertible:
  14. If my quick Google searching is correct, the chassis from this Edsel Pacer with a wheelbase of 118" would be an ideal donor/upgrade for/over the AMT '57 Ford Fairane's chassis, correct? IIRC the Fairlane and Fairlane 500 also had the 118" wheelbase while the Custom and Custom _00 (which I think are what Revell's newer '57s are?) have a 116" wheelbase. I'm guessing the FE engine would be a great candidate to upgrade something older, too.
  15. More info and pics posted on Round2's Collector Model blog: http://www.collectormodel.com/#sthash.V5PSKo74.G8EU7A6d.dpbs Sounds like it's an Amphicat 6x6...that works for me:
  16. No. I have some parts from a Pink Poison issue which were chrome plated, but not by Revell. See attached image. "The Jeep" pickup truck was based on the famous Jeep Wagoneer. It was initially referred to as the Jeep Gladiator and was in production from 1962 to 1988. The Jeep Honcho was a trim package offered on the base J-10 model. It was part of a series of special packages offered in the 1970s and 80s. Kit features multi-piece snowmobile, detailed V-8 engine, 4-wheel drive system, pickup bed accessories including gas cans, tool box, and rollover bar with lights, plus chrome plated parts, and soft black tires." That sounds exactly like what happened. Hopefully the box doesn't state chrome-plated parts are included. I wouldn't exactly call the wiped Goodyear Tracker A-T tires "soft" either, like the Goodyear Wrangler tires earlier versions of this kit included.
  17. Even the great ones have a few misses. Hmm, now I'm really confused. Which came first, or did neither come before the other?
  18. Water skis from...AMT(?) 196(?) Pontiac(?) maybe??
  19. AKA, the Jolly Rodger:
  20. Actually, I would argue that is a large part of the Sizzler's (and the Deuce Sport Coupe, etc.) appeal-- perfect scale accuracy and fidelity be damned, this thing just looks cool and can't be replicated by anything new.
