  1. If you do, or if anyone else who has a previous version if this kit does, I'd like to know which tires were included. Oops...thanks. Fixed. Now, about that MEL powerplant...
  2. It could also mean they compared what they have remaining of the molds, inserts, etc. to an original kit, and found too much is missing to make it cost effective to continue. Y'all should follow Round2 on Instagram as you're missing out on a lot of news, info, etc. which they don't share elsewhere. Hmmm, same "Archive Item" stickers on the box ends...my money is on a reissue of the Dodge D-50. https://www.instagram.com/p/BQgi46RBXTy/?hl=en&taken-by=round2models
  3. I picked one of these up today and took some pics of the contents which can be viewed here: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/751/1-25-amt-customizing-boat A few notes: It would be fair to consider the decal sheet an homage to the original, as it's not an exact copy, but I feel it's also a healthy improvement over the original. The tire choice seems odd at first, but I'm guessing there were few (if any) other choices at Round2's disposal which would fit both the steel wheels and comfortably inside the trailer's fenders. Whatever the reason, you may want to look into acquiring a pair of period-correct tires if you're s stickler for details. No more parts content printed on the box bottom, at least for this kit. Maybe this is old news, but no complaints from me if this is how Round2 is filling out box bottoms from now on. Check both decks in your kit(s) for warpage. Both decks in mine were warped slightly upwards on the port side close to the bow. Nothing which wouldn't go back into position after attaching the deck to the hull, but something to be aware of. The hull measures just under 7.25" from bow to stern, so just a tad over 15' in real life. I'm really glad to see this kit return, as I missed it the last go 'round.
  4. Saw that, and I want to say that's Round2's eBay account...I'm pretty sure I recall seeing those inventory on the boxes in one of their Collector Model posts. Maybe the Dodge D-50 kit is soon to be reissued, based on the number of those variants they have listed...
  5. Maybe this is old news, but it appears Round2 has added a specific page containing downloadable versions of their model kit instruction sheets: http://round2corp.com/model-kit-instructions/ Looks to be every(?) kit (350) they've released since 2006 or so.
  6. .
  7. "Flocked-- it's not a dirty word".
  8. Both were available as separate kits in the last few years, so other than the "43" decals for the hauler, there's little-to-nothing "new" besides both being packaged together:
  9. Yes to transparent red tail light lenses, but the trim decals are not quite original as in factory original, according to the instruction sheet: http://manuals.hobbico.com/rmx/85-4049.pdf Good look inside the box here, too:https://youtu.be/2fUo6l0XNhQ
  10. Looks like Round2 is changing its "exclusive" kit releases (IIRC the Paddy Wagon '23 T was the first?), but they will still only be available through their store: http://www.collectormodel.com/#sthash.RfPJkIE6.dpbs I'm not convinced all that many people were clamoring for yet another version of the Hippie Hemi F/E dragster kit, but it's the first release, with new/old decals for the "Rampaging Reptile" version:
  11. I doubt it. I can't recall if the early '70s style hood scoop, sidepipes, and chin spoiler were present in the '75 and '76 reissues, but I'm expecting this '74 reissue to be 95% the same.
  12. Original box for comparison:
  13. The forthcoming kit will include the gold screaming chicken hood decal, and the GTA cross-lace wheels can be sourced from the Revell 1/16 '87 Firebrd GTA kit.
  14. Revell's '72 Olds Cutlass, '68 Charger R/T, and '68 Dodge Dart Hemi were all "Special Edition" kits, while the new '70 Dodge Charger R/T kit is not...as special, so not as much content, and probably a few dollars cheaper (adjusted for inflation), too. Recall the original Revell '69 Dodge Charger R/T kit was a Pro Modeler kit, which is similar to what the more recent SE kits offered-- a second engine, multiple part options, etc. The "standard" Revell '69 Dodge Charger R/T kit included only the 440 engine, and fewer options compared to the PM kit. TL/DR: Special Edition = more, non SE = less.
  15. It's hard to argue the '77-'78 Trans Am isn't the most widely recognized of the bunch, and borderline iconic for those in the 35+ age group, so I don't think it's a stretch to feel a '77 T/A SE would sell far better than any '79-'81. It's too bad MPC was the company to create a 1/16 T/A. I just can't get past the heavy granular texture of the floorpans and the "looks kind close" to the real thing details found throughout this kit. Hopefully the snowflake wheels came out nicely, as some previous reissues I've seen contained some very unclean molding and plating.
  16. No, the tri-carb BBC intake manifold will be too large/wide to fit properly on the SBC engine. FYI, there is a fair amount of work needed to swap the 1/12 BBC into the 1/12 '69 Camaro. The 'Vette kit's exhaust manifold will not work, nor will the headers, so plan on making your own, either way. Radiator and fan shroud will need healthy modification, too.
  17. As suggested, the Revell 1/25 snap-together kit has a gorgeous body and decent interior. Combine those with the 1/25 Revell '67 chassis/exhaust/etc., add your favorite SBC, wheels and tires...
  18. Did Jim sell on his own or were these bodies offered by The Good Stuff? Jim is/was a member here, too, if someone needs to contact him.
  19. The best part is someone editing the 30+ year old original High Roller GMC image for the new version, right down to the visible rear axle truss. Jinkies!, this is a pretty darn good quarterly release.
  20. That has been a concern for me, too, but Round2 wouldn't reissue the AMC Gremlin kit (albeit in a slightly different guise this go 'round) a third time without knowing it has very good sales potential. Ditto for the '50 Chevy pickup which was reissued in Texaco livery (and with a newly tooled front "push" bumper IIRC) four or five years ago or so, and still holds up extremely well today. Seeing all of the RC2 era reissued kits reissued again by Round2 no longer surprises me, and I can't honestly say I'm disappointed, either. Eventually the (very) few I'd like to see reissued will be.
  21. I'd be willing to be someone north of the border built that box art beauty. Non-"smoked"/tinted "glass", too, it appears. Fist bumps all around!

  23. If what's in the box is the 1/25 Revell Jeep Honcho pickup with the 1/25 Revell Arctic Cat snowmobile from the "Ice Patrol" kit included, everything should match up scale-wise. Hopefully the snowmobile returns with some truck kit, as it's been a looooong time (197...9?) since it's been available. Still no 1/25 Monogram Chevy S-10, though.
