  1. Nice work, Steve. I'm sure his brother had a huge smile upon his face once he saw it. Casey (MPC non-fan since '81! )
  2. You're half right- it was in the Chevy II Station Wagon kit.
  3. Has the trailer ever been re-issued, besides the Nova kit Mark mentioned?
  4. Have you tried using a sealer first?
  5. I stumbled across this article about IMC's Dodge L-700, LRW, and their never-produced LVT-1000, written by Steve Magnante: http://www.moparmax.com/columns/magnante/vi_2-1.html Maybe Tim Boyd can shed some more light on the LVT-1000 which was to be produced?
  6. A member was modifying a Tonka(?) pressed steel truck in the OTW section, so you might try a search there to pull it up. I have seen a few others here, too, but not too many. I think I also saw a member from Europe (Netherlands, possibly) who was working on a green big rig type project here.
  7. What's the file extension (.jpg, .gif, etc.) of the image you're trying to upload?
  8. How large is the image you are trying to upload?
  9. Is that a white and maroon El Camino next to the white Beaumont? I love the Pontiac-style split grille on the '67, and I find the Canadian market cars (like the '72-'73 Pontiac Astre) very interesting and offbeat. Maybe even quirky.
  10. Thanks for taking the time to update everyone, Steve. I know a lot of people are excited to see some of these kits hit store shelves again.
  11. eBay decided a year or two ago to remove a seller's ability to leave negative feedback, so some sellers use the ability to leave positive feedback as leverage. Nobody is required to leave feedback, but it's mutually beneficial for both parties to have a positive experience, and ideal if they both leave positive feedback for each other. As we can tell after reading the replies in this topic, not everyone agrees on what should be done once a buyer pays, nor what is "right". Those differences are what makes life interesting.
  12. See post #101 here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48747&hl=rambler&st=100 Steve Goldman (screen name SteveG on the MCM forum) is probably the best person to contact with questions regarding IMC. Per his post #101 linked above: You can always send an email to me at sg-imc@hotmail.com if you have comments or questions. There's always snail-mail too.... Illinois Model Company 409 S Second St. Rockford, IL 61104 The quick answer is they're still working on the releases announced in October 2011. I'm sure when everything is ready to go, SteveG will post the info here for everyone. 13. Gregg mentioned there might be a few lingering issues in his post yesterday: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=59026 . If you have seen other quirks or problems, please send them to Gregg by email: gregg@modelcarsmag.com
  14. Oh my, where to even begin on this '46-'48 Chevy(?)
  15. And they don't drive vans, either. They ride on trikes. Here's the original MPC '33 Chevy Panel Truck kit, for reference:
  16. That Jim figure is a great touch to an already nice model. I love the annodizing on the "aluminum"!
  17. Some pics of an (original?) issue of Revell's '57 Ranchero kit, which I found on eBay:
  18. http://www.horse-powergraphics.com/category-s/1902.htm
  19. Post some pics of those two parts if you have a chance, please. I didn't know someone had a 1/24 Satellite grille available. Is the rear bumper missing the rub strips?
  20. I'm going to guess that's exactly what they will be. The '68 Firebird appears to use Foose "500" wheels and the '67 Coronet Foose "Coronet" wheels, which appear to be loosely based on the vintage Magnum 500 style wheel. I suspect both kits will have California Wheels series tires and new decal sheets which will include the "billboard"-ish rear quarter panel stripes for the 'bird and a new bumblebee (maybe closer to the more recent rumblebee truck stripe) butt stripe for the Coronet. It'll be interesting to see if Revell tools up new, lowered suspensions for these kits, but I doubt it, since there may not be enough space inside the wheelwells at the kit-stock ride heights.
  21. So it doesn't get lost, here are the Fall 2012 kits from Revell. Thanks to member arksarben for posting the .pdf images in the original topic: http://www.modelcars...opic=58841&st=0
  22. Are there any copyright dates on the box or the instruction sheet?
  23. Sheriff's Blazer kit contents:
