Trumpeter Falcons. Any problems, tips?

I've collected a few different sizes/styles of Tripart mesh material, like so: https://www.ebay.com/itm/TRIPART-Modeling-Mesh-202-PA-22-Square-Mesh-0-32mm-x-0-32mm/124544626863?hash=item1cff7030af:g:--8AAOSwbjNgDy3n

MPC Chrysler Hydro-Vee "Charger" Boat Kit and Other Boat Kits
Casey replied to tim boyd's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Fixed that for you. ? We can only hope. I'm still miffed that Round2 hasn't reissued the kit, even if it's the same as what was included in the Model King reissue. Perhaps there's a very good reason they have not, though. -

More of the...similar?: https://www.hemmings.com/stories/2019/08/07/brecksville-ohio-1968 Another, from Billings, MT: https://billingsgazette.com/news/local/autos-from-detroits-glory-days-transform-along-yellowstone-river-banks/article_73d79cd2-fd37-5239-a971-90920a3fbe97.html Is that a '67 Impala 4-door sedan? If only...oh wait (close enough): -

This would make an interesting, but very challenging community build, with each member contributing a different vehicle. Not convinced t would work unless one member of the group was the lone person do decide how they all fit together, though. -
Wise decision, as it detracts from the vehicle when both are displayed together. Despite the Surfite's size, its got some really nice detail and parts, and where else are you going to find 12" tires? You've made some good progress so far. I was going to suggest you try filing the slots in the body using a square miniature file, but it sounds like you have already started working on a solution.

Hard to dislike he scenery, but many of the images seem a bit too edited for "oooh, ahhh" effect. I mean, it's for social media, so I understand it, but not even a chameleon sees things so vividly. Here's a more natural shot of the stack: And another: https://www.intrepidlife.com/upper-catstair-canyon/ And another stack in the same location: -
Thanks. #4 makes sense from a Corvair, as I found a few '67 Corvair wheel covers along with them. I need to intensify the search for some of those AMT Opel GT steel wheels. Not really an urgent need, though.

In line 6 cylinder engines, what kits have them?
Casey replied to Hondo's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It appears to be slightly better than other similar era offerings. The Flacon/Comet display I6 engine Chris posed earlier in this topic appears a bit clunkier, with more molded-in-place parts, so given the choice, I'd go with the JO-HAN version. Missing Link currently offers a resin cast version of the Falcon/Comet I6: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Resin-1-25-60s-Ford-Mercury-170-6-cylinder-Mustang-Falcon-Comet-missing-link/294028127236?hash=item4475712c04:g:WKQAAOSwjvJZPsv9 -

When someone posts for the sole purpose of letting everyone else know they have no interest in the subject, it's a lost cause. The ability to understand others' interests when they differ from one's own is a skill not universally possessed. Creating a diorama takes skill, thought, planning, etc., just as building a vehicle does. All of those warped Cycolac promos, over-customized annuals, and models considered too-far-gone-to-save can be put to perfect use in a diorama such as this. Have only the rear third of a JO-HAN '61 Olds 4-door hardtop? One car down, 11 more to go. It's kind of the ultimate salvage project, so hopefully someone is up to the challenge....better have lots of weathering materials on hand, though. -
Yes, I think so, as there were '69 Yenko Camaros under the Fast & Furious label from both Revell and AMT. Avoid all AMT '69 Camaro kits, period. Both kits are very similar, Greg, based on the same design work. The RS/SS has a Small Block Chevy V8, the Yenko version a Big Block Chevy V8. Wheels, grilles, and tail/brake/backup lights are different, but mostly everything else is the same. Both build well without major issues.

In case you're ever considering buying the Testors Turbo Corvette kit for the "turbine" engine...don't. ?

Sneak peek ....The IMC Tanker Trailer kit is back !!!
Casey replied to SteveG's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Just posting these for reference in case someone else happens upon this oddball reissue of the ex-IMC Tanker Trailer by THC Worldwide. Not really sure how this came about, but it does show Testors produced the kit, or at least the parts, as there is no chassis/frame, nor any wheels and tires included. Here are some pics when I mocked it up with and AMT Ford C-series cab: -
-
Thanks, Mike. Kind of an oddball with no outer rim, but makes things easier if you want to modify it with a wider/deeper outer barrel. Here you go. ? #1 and #2 (starting at the top left) appear to be a matching front and rear pair. I'm really interested in wheel #4, as it's only .545" in diameter, so 13.625" at the bead, making it closer to a 12.5 wheel with the 1" subtracted....hmmm. #7 looks the same as the SMP (#18) wheel above, just chrome plated?: The two upside-down wheels are the same as the wheel below each. 99.9% certain the three on the right are JO-HAN Ford Maverick, the thicker wheel being from a promo?:
-
I did check the hood against that kit with a nice example on eBay, and it was not a match. Don S. identified it correctly: Thanks for the help, all.

1/16 MPC Nascar Petty Charger; a kit change just announced
Casey replied to '70 Grande's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Yes, pretty much. The Petty version includes a separate headrest made of the letters "RLP", so presumably that would not be used on the Buddy Baker car.
