Street Outlaws, Fastest in America
Casey replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's like Real Housewives of _________ County, but with "street" cars., less wine and fake nails, and more drama. ? I guess they are milking the last few drops from the reality TV cash cow while they still can. Too bad shows like this do a huge disservice to legitimate racing organizations which promote safety and education rather than quick dollars and drama. I understand why the latter appeals to people, but it would be nice to have a show which raises, rather than lowers, the bar for automotive enthusiasts. I guess when Edd left Wheelers & Dealers the writing was on the wall. -

Not officially until December 31, 2021, and then there's a time period in which Round2 is allowed to distribute remaining inventory...unless the agreement is renewed. ?- 41 replies

Not sure if Round2 is improving things like they did with the only existing Craftsman Plus Series kit (AMT '63 Chevy Nova II Wagon) or not. Perhaps Steve G or Mike W can share more info if and when possible. Here's the original for a placeholder in the meantime:

Did the Milk Truck Tank Body kit include wheels? It looks like the Lumber Truck Body kit did. -

The 1/24 Monogram '86 Chevy Monte Carlo SS has an auto trans with a separate pan, but I believe the trans is a TH200-4R--- same as what's found in the more recent 1/25 Revell '83 Olds Cutlass kit...and maybe the 1/24 Buick GN/GNX kit, too? 1/24 '86 Monte Carlo SS trans: Revell '83 Hurst Oldsmobile:

The original dune buggy's (and trailer's) tires are styrene, so I think we'll see the same this time around. Here's a built up:

That's true. When mounted inside a conventional trans tunnel, you'll never see the upper half.

Not sure, as there's not much info listed when you click on the link. The front wheels appear to be the wheels from the 1/24 Monogram '65 Ford Mustang GT350-R kit, but I can't see much of the rear wheels to determine much of anything,

Yes, the copying by Pyro was rather blatant in this case: Monogram Big T (Street Rod issue, in this example): Lindberg Bullhorn T:

Check out the review topic on that very kit before you do, please. I agree with Monty that the 5-slot wheels on the Mustang look like Ansen Sprint wheels, but there were other aftermarket companies at the time which offered similar wheels- Rocket, E-T, etc. Whatever you do, do not use the Revell Starsky & Hutch 5-slot wheels, as one set has out of position lug nuts and look funky:

*Bucket Seats For amt 1950 Chevy Truck*
Casey replied to Zippi's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Which type of bucket seats are in your '49? -
Hmmm, the pan wouldn't be too difficult to remove and replace with a separate piece, but the remainder of the trans isn't great. I agree it's probably the best we've seen in this topic so far, but hopefully something better exists.

Console #2 does appears to be found in the '64 & '65 (and possibly up to '66) JO-HAN AMC Rambler kits: Console #3 looks like the JO-HAN '66 Marlin center console?: *edit* I don't think so, after viewing an eBay listing. The Marlin appears to use the same console as #2, with twin sticks.
