  1. They aren't too hard to find on eBay. There's one currently available for U.S. $50 B.I.N., one in an auction style listing at less than half that, and one sold a week ago for $45.00 U.S. Everybody's got Squarebody Blazer fever. ?
  2. Is that an AMT '32 Ford Sedan in the center(-ish)? I may have looked at that lot on eBay if it's the one I'm thinking of. ?
  3. Open both boxes and you'll find a print date on the backside of each decal sheet. That date is usually very close to the production date for each kit:

  6. That was one of the sources mentioned in the above links, but after going to their website, I found the chain binders are no longer listed. I think the 3D printed chain binders are the only currently available source.
  7. I wonder if this has more to do with serving ice cream with cake and pie, rather than eating ice cream as a stand alone item, save for when served inside a cone? Billboard Ford and a Ford Billboard:
  8. Many interesting details on this Ford Model T-- standard(?) radiator cap (no Motometer?), cowl vent is open, and what are those tapered springs on the front suspension?
  9. I was thinking of this issue, but as Mark said, it could've been featured in any issue with contest coverage:
  10. This was actually a legitimate concern back in the early '70s when the NHRA and AHRA held races at Beeline Dragway and Phoenix International Raceway, but only for the T/F dragster with enclosed front wheels. Certain areas of the pits (even for the pro racers) back then were on unpaved ground, and underground anthills were fairly common during the spring season, so with all of the activity going on above ground, the ants natural defenses kicked in, and they came out in force to defend their colonies. Tires being the things touching the ground, they were the first to be infested. Pretty sure I recall a picture in Drag Racing or Drag News from back in the day of the Keeling & Clayton T/F dragster with one front wheel fairing filled with them.
  11. Honestly, not a great kit overall. Can be made to look great with some work and looks good sitting on the shelf, but the closer you look, the more compromises and "close enough"s you see.
  12. I looked through my back issues of SAE, and no longer have the Pro Street themed issue (I thought) I remembered, so I don't think I'll be of much help Sam, sorry.
  13. You got it, plus "sealed" means the owner never has to deal with possible melted clear parts, missing parts, etc. These rarely become available, so the market sets the price.

  15. Maybe the "Plus" in this case is they re-tooled the operating head and tail light specific parts. ?
  16. Plenty of good reference in this video. What are power tools, BTW?:
  17. Not sure, as they didn't say much about it in facebook. That corner insert does look rather freshly machined though, so I guess we'll have to wait and see. I can't see this being a huge sales success if they decide to release it, but Atlantis doesn't seem to be in the position that every release needs to hit the bullseye.
  18. Atlantis just shared a pic of the Accessory Display Items mold on their facebook page, but the section for the hand tools, gas can, and fire extinguisher is missing and blanked off now:
  19. Head to eBay and use "Mini lindy" in the search box, then select "Completed Items" from the let hand column (scroll down). That way you can compare condition with actual sale price.
  20. Can you post a picture of the brake booster in your '49, please?
  21. It was reissued in 2019, too, but the accessories aren't all that great, IMHO.
  22. Hmm, was it turquoise, possibly? I think there was a Pro Street themed issue of SAE in the early '90s, IIRC. I'll see if I still have that issue, and page through the others from that era.
