The fantastic revell hemi dart kit built out of the box with aftermarket decals by the glory years decals and graphics. Of Chris Walsh

John you can get these decals from eBay seller teresawulf this is the listing Ed Sinistri ZORRO Chevy impala 1/24 scale NHRA Drag water slide decals. They are printed on a black background definitely not slixx quality, but they display ok .I built the Dick Harrell car about 12 years ago, I’ll have to clean it up and take some pictures of it . The decals for the Harrell car came from MCW, and unfortunately I think they are out of production. I have to agree this kit builds up really nice , but I ask myself why didn’t they tool up a see of headers for the drag version. As that was one of the first day two modifications we made to our cars. Those last 3 mopar builds you did were just outstanding.

This is the revell kit built into a stocker with the headers coming out of the amt jimmy kit the front wheels are from my parts box. The decals were sourced from a eBay seller. Until next time thanks for looking ?. Mike

Start with a polar lights barracuda funny car , borrow the back Dasiy wheels from the AMT 1963 impala . Ad a custom fade paint job using testers lacquer , and top it off with decals from the talented chuck boener. Till next time thanks for looking ?. Mike guy

That looks like a really fun project . I like your’s better than the box art. Nice job on the paint & lettering. Maybe we’ll get a reissue of this one in the distant future

I think it came out great. I really like this kit it would be nice to see reissued with all it’s original parts -
Your hornet came out awesome. Great level of detail especially on the carburetors , altenater, wheels, and that’s a really smooth white paint job. I wish these hornet bodies weren’t so hard to find. I would like to park one next to my shaman gremlin

That’s a really nice grumpy’s toy great work on the engine compartment
-
Really nice sharp paint lines and just the right shade of metallic orange.
-
Wow John great job on all three 1965 was the best year for car styling ,drag racing , I’d like to build some of these myself but I’m hung up in a pro stock building binge. Your engine detailing is amazing you even did the brake line on the master cylinder. The wheels look real nice to. The Sox & Martin is also my favorite.

“BUILDING THE COVERS “ VOL # 53 MALCOLM DURHAM’S 1966 CORVAIR FUNNY CAR

I built this some time ago so I’m not exactly sure where all the parts came from. The body is a resin piece that I found on eBay. I used the chassis and interior from the amt 1966 nova pro street version. The roll cage is made from 0.80 plastic rod. I pieced the big block Chevy engine together from my parts box with aftermarket injection stacks. The paint is testors lacquer. I think the decals came from WhoopiKat . Which very unfortunately just disappeared I would have really liked to have gotten more from him . Allen made some great subject matter and of great quality. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike

The body really fits the chassis well it looks great I like the color. Nice work.

MPC 1969 MUSTANG SUPER STOCK THE JERRY HARVEY FORD
M W Elky replied to M W Elky's topic in Drag Racing
Now that they can reissue kits from 3-D scans there is no reason not to build these old collector kits. Who knows what’s coming down the pike next. -
Looks great. I have the same Fremont resin kit I think I might use a Lindburg 64 dodge for the Donor kit
-
Just a out of the box super stock build . It’s a nice easy to build kit i would like to see it reissued with all the original pieces box art and decals
-
That’s another great looking super stocker. Doesn’t feel good to use up leftover parts.

I started out with the mpc volare kit and I used the chassis from a amt pro street gtx from the fire wall back . The hemi was also pulled from the gtx . The hood scoop is from comp. Resins I do think it’s a little to tall I should have cut it down. The window net is cut from a piece of window screen. The wheels came with the gtx. It’s finished in testors white enamel with decals from southern Motorsport hobbies. Until next time thanks for looking ?. Mike

This was assembled from the fabulous mpc grumpy’s toy pro stock Vega kit . I added a small block engine from the amt 1970 Z-28 kit with the tunnel ram from the pro street 66 nova. It’s finished with testors revving red lacquer, white enamel, and clear coat. Topped off with slixx decals I found the thin pin stripe decals extremely difficult to put on. Overall it looks good . Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike

Looks great the injected cammer is exceptional and the color looks right on

This is a mishmash of mpc and amt corvette kits. The 1960 the flip front 57 , and amt’s 62 . I cut hood scoop off of the mpc Malco gasser mustang and grafted it to the mpc 60 hood . The paint is a tamyia color with a heavy coat of pearl clear. The decals are not really correct, but they are the closest available that I could find. All in all it came out pretty good. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike
