  1. Impressive build, great topic, well done. Gonna look good behind that T800.
  2. Looks very appropriate, well done
  3. Got a little paint work completed, wheels assembled
  4. Wow, that is looking good, nice colors
  5. Some progress, frame rails made, cross members installed.
  6. Well done, fun to watch this come together
  7. Just wanted to do something different and simple, not a lot of fabrication work. Some flavor of red for the fenders, top of hood, tanks, battery boxes and lift gate, the rest will be white. Trying to follow a company truck theme
  8. Getting some bench time today. Completed a rough mockup to dial in the wheelbase and frame length. After a lot of measuring the two donor kits, I added 1 inch to the GMC frame ahead of the rear axles and added 1.5 inches on the end of the frame to mount the hydraulic lift gate to. I may need to trim a little bite off when everything is built to align the lift gate to the body. frame rails stretched, need a little clean up then start assembly on the cross members and axles.
  9. I think you are correct. Did a quick mock-up and I don’t think I need to add any wheelbase. I may have to add a tail piece to the frame to support the lift gate, will see.
  10. I wondered if you would catch this???, love those decal kits and the options available, need some new stuff
  11. Oh man, I love those road trains, watched several you tube videos about them. We will see where this goes.
  12. Decided to do a simple kit bash using the GMC General ( minus sleeper) and using the Coca-Cola Louisville delivery box. Shouldn’t require much custom fabrication, besides, everybody needs a beer truck on the shelf. Had these decals just begging to be used.
  13. Thanks Scott, should keep the dust off of them.
  14. Here are some recent photos. First photo is a debris trailer, when logging, the limbs are stripped off, ground and blown into a trailer and sold to some power company’s to burn for energy. They can be blown in from the top or from the rear thru a gated rear door. just got this picture today of the new rear door setup on a debris trailer, they are open top with a roll over tarp, the new White Wester Star logging trucks, Kenworth have been king up here but we are seeing many new logging trucks made from the Western. our dump trailers are massive and yes he is pulling a pup trailer as well. notice that most new trucks are running wide singles and some of these singles are almost as wide as a pair of duals, extremely wide for flotation off-road.
  15. Sure do like where this project is going, nice job.
  16. Thank you These are very normal trucks here in Michigan where much of my inspiration comes from, secondly, I really enjoy building the heavy haulers and the challenges of building them. Just seen a 7 axle dump trailer pulling a 3 axle second trailer pulled by one 3 axle (maybe a tri-drive) Kenworth, massive rig on our roads.
  17. Thanks, yes, I built that logging truck many years ago, still needs some finish
