  1. Fabrication work finished on rear fenders, first two coats of paint applied. Next wet sand rear fenders and apply final coat, finish paint work on front fenders.
  2. Nicely done, like the color combo.
  3. Scratch building is so rewarding, the skill to build something not offered and to allow creativity, fun to watch your builds.
  4. By the front bumper I would say an old Mack, but the suspension in the rear doesn’t Say Mack but I can’t see it well. Love those tires, where did you get them? Size?
  5. Quick mock-up, new cab, modified hood/grill and custom built sleeper
  6. Grill molded into the hood, first color going on.
  7. Molding the grill into the hood as this was how the real truck was done. Removed the molded in Kenworth logos from the hood, will use photo etched logos. Filled the holes in the cab for the aero shields so I can run exhaust stacks from Auslowe. Order a flashing yellow light bar for sleeper roof. Built a simple headache rack to protect the back of the sleeper. Some final details for the custom built sleeper. Changing the front bumper as well. Removed the crappy fuel tanks and battery boxes on the frame, will come up with something better. Will add diamond plate walkway on the frame, will follow the theme of the last few trucks I have built with color and build
  8. Thanks for following along and appreciate your feedback. Every time I finish a build, I sit back and look thinking I could have done that better or a detail there would be better or……or….. Guess that is what drives us to build the next one.
  9. I have been away from this build for awhile. I didn’t like several aspects of the build, so I have picked up another T600 Kenworth kit, a Kenworth photo etched detail kit, Auslowe exhaust kit and some miscellaneous stuff. Got the engine built and opened the grill up to add a mesh grill. So, two steps backwards to move forward
  10. Thanks Jeff, every time I finish a build , I look back I say “well I could have that better or that better” and so on. I guess that’s what drives us to build the next one.
  11. Thank you, the grill material is from ST Supply, I bought several scale sheets from him and just look for the pattern that best fits the original grill. I didn’t add the vertical bars in the grill, maybe I should have.
  12. Thanks, and I agree, love the challenge of building the heavy haulers
