  1. Would love to see your builds of these kits. Such cool cars!
  2. Just wrapped up a couple of great trades with JollySipper and Dave Branson. Thanks guys
  3. Cool project. Just wondering where those awesome wheels came from.
  4. Shout-out to Rescued Customs for a fun painless trading experience!
  5. I have a built JoHan '61 F85 Wagon, that I picked up at a farm toy show several years ago. It's all there except for the taillights. Can anybody help me out with a pair. Plating condition is not important. Thanks
  6. I'd cruise the boulevard in that!!! 😎
  7. One step forward.... Two steps back. 😠 It's been gorgeous here the last couple of days, so I decided step outside to shoot the color on my Dart this afternoon. Unfortunately, I got in a rush and laid down too much paint too fast, resulting in an ugly mess.... So now it's soaking in a vat of 91% to melt it all away. Lesson learned.... Hopefully the 2nd attempt will yield a better outcome.

  9. My wife is finally out of the hospital and at home recuperating, so I've been able to get back to work on this one.... Chassis and drivetrain are about 95% done... Am waiting for a couple of warmer less windy days, so that I can setup out in the parking lot to lay a bit color on the body.
  10. Just finished up a great trade with kymdlr... The Chevy looks great Ron!!!! Thanks
  11. Actually I did receive 12 months. Payments defer to five months after the date of becoming disabled. I did splurge a bit and ordered a new cordless Dremel tool.... The truth is that most of the money will go toward catching up on a few things that have gotten behind.
  12. After over 18 months of trying I was finally approved for disability. Gives us some much needed breathing room.
  13. Dang it!!!!! Sure wish I'd seen this earlier! LOL
  14. My oldest surviving build, from roughly 1976 (l would have been 15 years old)... AMT Street Rod Series 1959 El Camino, built as an early 60's custom. Heavily inspired by the style of the Alexander Bros. It's showing it's age now, but was really something back in the day. Somewhere along the line the '59 Caddy taillights, dual custom antennas, and most of the chrome micro stripe tape chrome bed trim have gone missing. I entered the model in the 1979 NSRA Street Rod Nationals model contest, and won 1st place in class with it.
  15. Though I've started quite a few wagons through the years, I have only managed to finish a handful... My oldest surviving wagon is this Firebird that I built sometime around 1983/84... It's a kitbash of Airfix and Monogram kits. This AWB Nomad dates back to the late 1990's. Dyno Don Super Stock Comet, built in the early 2000's. Finally, from 2007, Allison V12 powered '59 Ford exhibition racer.... A marriage of the Allison Thunderland kit and Flintstone resin body.
  16. I bought one from the consignment shelf at my LHS a couple of years ago. Payed $30 for it.
  17. Did you get my response to your message?
  18. I'm in Dixon (IL)... About 100 miles east of the Chicago and just over 20 miles southwest of Byron.
  19. I also recognize the newer pics as being taken at Byron... About a twenty minute drive from my home and the track where I now spent my summers watching races.
  20. Union Grove, in the 70's... I may have seen that car run. My cousin used to race there and took me with him several times each summer.
  21. PM sent.
  22. I would be interested in lot 3
