monte carlo super stocker on hauler
Yeah Nah replied to eran_k's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Brilliant! The hauler even has a slight tail-low sit as it would with a load on. -
Looks fantastic mate. I saw Diamonds Are Forever on the big screen as a kid when it was released. Thought it was the most awesome thing I'd ever seen! I still get up YT clips to re-watch that chase in the carpark and streets of Las Vegas.

To me this kit fires up all the nostalgia of model car building. I did these a while ago and now I've nearly finished a second pair with the Fiat and a streamliner.

“BUILDING THE COVERS “ VOL # 54 BILL MAVERICK’S LITTLE RED WAGON
Yeah Nah replied to M W Elky's topic in Drag Racing
Real nice! I was fortunate enough to get hold of the combo kit issue from a while back- this and the transporter truck/trailer. Not brave enough to attempt it yet but when I do, I hope I do it the same justice you've given yours. -

Brabham BT-46B Fan Car

Nice model! Never heard of this machine- I just Wiki'd it then. Interesting reading! -
One of my first car builds was this one. Terrible job so I recently decided to re-do it. Managed to successfully to strip back the cheap rattle can white enamel paint and this time airbrushed a home-brew mix of acrylic to hopefully represent Lime Gold. Still not 100% but a big improvement this time around!

Amazing realism Martin. My sister and her husband had a red one of these years ago and for reasons best known to themselves decided to drive it on a holiday trip from one side of Australia (Sydney to Perth) and back- nearly 8,000 km. He's about six foot tall and I don't think he ever walked straight again.......

Welcome Craig. Some talent with that art mate. You do stuff in other mediums?

Welcome Paul. New member myself and have been made very welcome. The one great thing I have found it's very easy to post on here.

Welcome from a fellow Aussie Dave. Only been on here for a little while myself and so far nothing but good people saying good stuff! BTW, nice Torana mate. Back in the day me (and everyone else) bidded at an auction for one of these (4.2 L from memory). Missed out on it but won top bid on a 4.3 L CL Charger. No regrets to this day and wish I still had it!

What a smoothie! Excellent build and presentation.
