  1. Looking good! Since you are putting decals on after the clear, could you just dull coat the decals on the sheet before applying, and then cut really close to the decal? That way you would not have to worry about the Fred Cady ones. Just a thought.
  2. Definitely watching, I have to start on my Pocher Alfa Romeo Spyder sometime in near future.
  3. Thank you Francis. It was not the easiest paint job to be certain. I did mess up though, I should have started the blue between .3mm and .5mm higher, but once it was down, it was staying there. After the adhesion problems and the pinstripes being too wide, I was not about to strip it down again. It is certainly close enough for this build now. Besides, there was no way I was going to get all the ghost highlights in anyway. I don’t plan on doing another resin build any time soon?
  4. Colors are down now, just finished the Lemon Twist. A little sanding now, then on to clear.
  5. Thank you, working on masking out the yellow now.
  6. Sprayed the candy red stripes, still some clean up to do on them yet, but if I get through the yellow, I will be home free
  7. Sweet, loving the leaf springs. You can ship all your extra ones to me?. Looking fantastic as always!
  8. Stunning!
  9. First stripes laid out, sprayed in MCW Super Blue. It is still slightly tacky, so no clean up yet
  10. Man, that looks fantastic in that color, great looking build?
  11. Thank you Francis. It’s coming along now. It still has a long road to completion, though.
  12. Recovery accomplished. I have to clean up a couple tiny bleed through spots, then on to colors.
  13. Masked off for candy tangerine panels and thin silver pinstripes with .4 mm fine line tape. I laid down 5 coats of candy tangerine, with candy red gradient lines in front fenders. When unmasking, I not only found that the .4mm was out of scale, the tangerine peeled up in several areas around the fine line. I stripped it back down to resin again, primed, then laid down the Ultra Silver from MCW, then Candy Tangerine, skipping the pinstripes and gradient lines. They would be very hard to see in this scale anyway. I will be shooting the black over it this time(less masking)
  14. Francis, do you have an electron microscope in your shop?? How do you manage to see dead center on something that small? Amazing, as usual!
  15. Looking really good. It is a shame that they molded the console in to the tub, as it wasn’t available on 4 speeds after 1969 in A body. That is something they should have fixed in the retooling.
  16. Looking great so far!
  17. This is going really well, enjoying this build
  18. This just keeps getting better and better! Really nice touches with the retractors and sweet job on the W-30 inner fenders.
  19. That GM blue looks really good on it!
  20. Thank you Carl.
  21. This is looking cool. I will be watching
  22. Thank you Francis. Things may look rough at first, but I do have a plan, and make things work out as I go. I may end up with no hair left afterwards, but I will get there. If it turns out looking 25 percent as good as what you put out there, I consider that a success. Being that this is only the second model I have touched after 30 years away, I think I am doing ok.
  23. Interior together, nitrous bottle/ bracket painted and mounted, battery painted. Photo etch window cranks and under dash gauges, waiting for monster tach. Masked off and painted the gloss black, sanded to 4000. Candy paint next, wish me luck
