  1. Looking really good to this point, watching.
  2. Awesome?
  3. A bit more progress, floor is flocked and sealed. Made shifter boot and added short pistol grip from Harts Parts. I finished blending the dashes together, painted and added gauge prints. Seats, cage are in, shaved .020 from door panel area to make way for aluminum panels with door handles from original door panels. I am still waiting for photo etch window handles. Yes, I noticed the Demon decal on backwards, has been corrected.
  4. Yes, the Dart and Duster share the gauge packages, I just got what I thought were decals, but are a printed gauge layout on card that gets glued on. I still have to trim them a little more, but they should work
  5. Roger, the 72 Demon went to the rectangular dash, the 67-71 rally dash wasn’t available. That is why I asked, as many teams would just upgrade the body panels to stay current. If you look at my build, you will see what I did to make mine correct to my car( as close as I could find). I ended up meshing the dash from a 74 mpc style Duster into the 71 Duster dash.
  6. Looking great Roger. Was the BTK car a converted 71, or did they just use the 71 dash? Really nice suspension, I am sure the super glue will do fine.
  7. Looking really good so far and nice bird!
  8. Cool build coming! I knew a guy that had a black one with dual quads sticking out of the hood years ago.( hardtop)
  9. Loving the scratch work. Looking good.
  10. Watching this one. I have a 72 build going on now also. I preordered 3 of these kits, all came in within 2 days of each other. I plan on doing one like my brother’s 71 Citron Yella w/ black painted code V02 roof. Yours is coming along nicely, gunmetal will be a nice, different look.
  11. True indeed. In 65, my father was going to buy one of the Coronet Hemi conversions that the dealer got in, only thing, they would not register it. He ended up keeping his 300G ragtop until 67 for GTX ragtop.
  12. Cage is looking great. I wish I would have thought about leaving top of scoop off before paint( I am using same scoop), too late now, all molded in. Those DC catalogs take me back also. Keep up the good work.
  13. That turned out great?
  14. I can’t wait to see the trans. Working synchros??
  15. Wow Francis, that is awesome. Almost time to set the backlash! Way to keep us salivating.
  16. I figured I would brighten up the subject a little. This is ultra silver lacquer from MCW for the base for the candies. This way I can also see the areas better that need attention. I hope I don’t have an adhesion problem- note inside right quarter panel where black peeled off to the resin, I may not have washed insides well enough, fingers crossed. I did wash with Dawn and 91% IPA.
  17. Also have cage figured out and aluminum panel to replace rear seat
  18. The progress continues slowly. I really struggled with the trunk hinge not working properly- kept contacting the corners of the lid against rear window trim, therefore not allowing it to open. I attempted many different things. The hinge kept telling me that the pivot point had to be farther away to make it work. I made L brackets out of styrene to support aluminum tube pivot under rear window, allowing it to be hidden by package tray. Yes crude looking at first, but clean up pretty well, as can be seen later. I still have a plan to hide all together. For the dash, I am using the 71 Duster dash, but need 72- up cluster, etc.. I sacrificed a 73 Dart dash, cutting clusters and other needed areas out with #11 blade. More coming soon.
  19. I love a Willys build! Watching
  20. Looking nice there, Roger, moving right along. Which dash did you end up using?
  21. Watching this one!
  22. That turned out sweeeet!
