Thank you. It is starting too, taking a lot of work to get it where it is already at. Thanks.

Started assembling parts for paint. Drilled out gauges for LED lights. Adjusted fit on more parts in preparation. A lot more work to do to prepare the body. Iceman 302 engine, texas 3d c4 transmission and VCG Autolite 4100 carb.

Thank you. Best way I could think of to hide the LED battery. Thank you.

DOH! I just noticed I printed the scale version of the model box in the trunk backwards. Will have to make a new one.

Hell has truly frozen Over!! I actually received my copy of #224 today in the mail. I have never received my copy till more than a month later. USPS must have slipped up and did it right this time. Just out of curiosity when should the Digital copy be available? I am more used to first seeing it there.

If I didn’t really want to build a California Special I wouldn’t have gotten it. Not sure who else might be making one.

Getting back to working on the 1968 California Special. Created the rear window and worked on making it fit well, also took a lot of work to get the kit windshield to fit. Got the small block ford engine that I will be using from Iceman Collections and the c4 transmission from Texas 3D. Even has the trans filler tube. Cut out the grill and installed the kit from facia to the body. Started fitting the hood. This it going to be a lot of work to get looking good.

Thank you. Had to go with Willow Green. I actually almost purchased a 1957 Thunderbird about 10 years ago that looked exactly like this one but decided against it. At the time the baby birds were actually dropping in value pretty rapidly, I think they are finally stabilized so I may think about it again. I don’t buy classic cars with the mind of resale, I have had my current mustangs for well over 20 years, but I also don’t want to lose a ton of money if I ever do.

Thank you @LennyB, and thanks for following the WIP and calling out the issue with the battery so I could make it right.
