It is a vectored image printed on water slide decal paper. Nothing special. The pinstriping is also vectored and printed on the same decal sheet.

Thanks, where the LEDs attach I use electrical liquid tape. It does a great job of blocking out light leaks.

Looks great! Love the color choice!

I am getting really close, just a few more details to create and add. Some of the more difficult photo-etch done today, including the wipers. This was the most important detail added today. Grill was the easiest of the photo-etch, hood letter and wipers were much more difficult.

I use Evan's for LEDs for my kits and they are great. I bought some cheaper ones off Amazon and they were not nearly as bright. Sometimes it is true, you get what you pay for.

Only a little bit more done but I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Checking off the list as I go.Wheels, back bumper and some photo etch mainly today.

Another project returning to the bench, 1954 Corvette Nomad.

Real cool concept car and great start. -
Beautiful build. I have that box set; I may need to pull it down and start on it soon.

Not a review, but a future release "hopefully" - Mustang II

The 63 Mustang concept car has been re-released. I picked one up at Burbank house of hobbies today. -
Just got the chassis and body joined. I ran into issues with the LED wiring getting in the way but got through it. Finished connecting the LED lights. On the down hill trek now, though the detailing and photo etch parts can be a lot of work to get right.

I was printing my own but these are from a decal set I found on eBay. They were listed as interior decals.

The trunk lid repaint color match came out ok. Got detail work on the engine done and installed into the chassis. Including making sure the correct firing order. Installed the LED wiring harness and sealed areas I don’t want light to leak. One circuit for interior lights only, other for taillights, headlights and gauges. Almost time to mate the chassis and body.

I finished the interior adding the seatbelts and lock knobs. Adding images of the actual car interior for comparison.

Agreed. It's obvious I am a Mustang guy. I don't love the Mustang II as a collector car, but I would love to build one to build a Mustang from every generation. -
I haven't seen that one, will have to look it up.

I don't think those you do; these are the ones I use: Windshield Wipers - Stock (modelcargarage.com)

Yes, he is amazing. He only releases a new video every other month or so, but I wait with bated breath for the next one. There are a couple of great builders out there I watch and get ideas from. These are a coupe favorites: MR. LIN'S SCALE MODELING - YouTube Kenji's Plastic Models - YouTube A4 Garage - YouTube This is the guy I learned from to ALWAYS do a white glue mockup before assembly. Stands even more true since I do so much kit bashing and scratch building: Scale Model Experiment - YouTube

Thank you. It's hours of work to get it smooth, but I hate orange peel. I see lots of scale cars beautifully detailed watching channels on youTube, just to be let down by a rough paint job. I have shown in MCA concours driven, and I am willing to take the point loss for having a too smooth of finish.

I was able to polish the body and hood and get it looking pretty good. I also did the panel lining for the rocker panels and front vents. I repainted the trunk lid and I think I got a decent color match but will know better after I can touch it.

Funny you say that. I did just get a resin transkit for a 1968 Mustang California Special for the Revell 1968 GT. I had one in the past in Lime Gold. Going to be a part of the "One's that got away" series.

I was able to get the run out of the hood, but I burned through the trunk lid trying to get the run and trash out of the clear. Fingers crossed I can get a good color match when I respray it. ?
-
It is the VCG resin shifter, as is the C4 automatic transmission.

I have gotten a little bit of work on the interior. Still need to add the seatbelts and door lock knobs. I have 4-5 hours I will need to spend wet sanding and polishing the body now. The body actually came out pretty smooth and clean. I wish I could say the same for the hood and trunk lid. Got a big run in the hood and a small one with trash in the trunk lid, hoping I can wet sand it out of the 2k clear.
